My Final Thoughts
Seriously, is it not your site, your time, your money, and your future? Shouldn’t you be always proactively on alert to safeguard it? You see, as much as I wanted to believe otherwise, I was forced to swallow the worst tasting fact that “Ignorance is not an acceptable excuse!”
I posted a second blog on my Profile about my above-mentioned experience, and I got some very interesting comments from the Community. It seems that there are many other members who have sadly gone through the same ordeal and were complaining as well. In fact, one dear member had mentioned that I should have a training posted on this topic to help others, which I concur 100%. As a result, I decided to write my first training post on this important topic.
I almost forgot to mention the following import tasks and how you can take care of them. Here they are:
(1) How to create a Post?... This is done basically the same way as you would create a Page, You have to remember though that yo have to start by selecting "POSTS" from your WP Dashboard's left sidebar, as shown in image #2.
(2) How to create a Dropdown Menu & a Side Bar Menu for your site?... You can see how these are done by checking out Kyle's tutorial. Here is the link:
(3) How to create a summary (usually the 1st paragraph) of you Posts for your Blogroll through the "More Button" process?... You can see how with the help of our frind James W D (Jaweda2k) who has a very nice tutorial on this topic. Here is the link:

My Closing Message
I hope that you’ll overlook and forgive me for my unsophisticated presentation of this, my very first, tutorial. I also hope and appreciate very much your gentle, but honest, feedback on this important issue. I am certain that our respected leaders, Kyle & Carson, will take this matter under consideration and, if practical, provide additional clarification and details on this important topic in our current great WA training tutorials in the future. I still love it here at WA and thank Kyle & Carson for everything they have done for me and, I am sure, everyone selse.

I appreciate the fact that you liked it. It was not meant to be anything special, but only a small clarification on a topic that I had issues with and wanted to share with the Community.
It is hard to be a Newbie, since there is a ton of material that one has to learn against the clock - it is even worse, when one is so eager to learn and rushes forward too quickly. Therefore, the possible compromise of building a solid foundation one's future success.

When I first went into WP, I noticed that there were pages and posts and made an effort to find out what the differences were. That seems logical given that pages/posts are right in front of you in the dashboard.
I would suggest that the training relies on people using some determination of their own as to creating pages or posts. Often in the training, Kyle will suggest that you create a page or post and leave it up to you to make you best decision. After all there are so many different ways to create a site and so many different personal reasons to choose a document as a page or post.
If anyone is worried about categorizing pages, I think there is a plugin that allows you to categorize pages so that pages are included in a category search. I read about this but never tried it.
Thanks for you comment. I am glad that you didn't face any problems in creating pages & posts. However, many people have, including myself - I had no clarification as to the difference between pages & posts and their specific functions.
For whaterver it is worth, I am hopeful that my tutorial will aid those people who may also have some questions about this topic, like I did. I am happy for all those people, like yourself, who did not encounter any such difficulties.
As for the the issue of self determination that you mentioned in your comment, I would most respectfully like to state this: I consider myself as having a wholesome share of this atribute, and yet I was confused!

On the video in Phase 1 Lesson 8 of the Boot Camp within the very first minute of the video Kyle says, "We're going to be creating this review as a Post because we're going to start getting our blog roll rolling with content."
Then he goes on to show you that he has a 404 error on his Home Page and says that there really is no error and it's because, "I don't have any content on my Home page and that's a result of not having any Posts."

I would suggest you go back and edit the first page of this training so that it doesn't mislead anyone into thinking that Kyle doesn't teach what he actually does teach.
Other than your above error the rest of the training looks good.
I am thankful that you brought this to my attention, since you're absolutely correct in that Kyle had touched upon this topic briefly in P-1, L-1-8 of Boot Camp. Also, I did go back and corrected my error in referencing this topic in my entire tutorial.
I would appreciate it if you would be kind enough do me another favor by taking another quick look and verify the correction. It is not, and it has never been my intent to mislead anyone based on an error on my part. If I didn't sincerely beleive in Kyle's dedication & devotion to WA and his heartfelt care for our interest and success, I would not be here now!
I suppose I am a living example of how briefly this topic was touched upon, since I had no recall of it till now. This makes my point for more emphasis on this topic for the sake of clarification and proper application by people like me..

As for when to write a page or post it is mentioned several times throughout the training process. Kyle mentions it in other videos and most times when you are given a task at the end of a lesson. He will instruct you to create either a Post or to create a Page.
As for further knowledge into the difference. Well for those who need it we have training from members like yourself who provided it for us. Plus you can always just do a search for page post in the above question bar. You will see other training as well like the one from Carson.
I will review your training again. If I see any problems I'll reply with it.
I know quite well that you didn't mean to imply that. I just wanted to make my intensions clear. I have already sent Kyle PM on this issue as well.
My entire concern from the begining was that I never had the adequate knowledge to understand the proper usage & defference between pages & posts - therefore, my tutorial, which is really me thinking out loud.

I thank you for your comment and sharing with me your situation as well. As a matter of fact, Kyle had indeed touched about the topic of Posts briefly in the Boot Camp training, Phase 1, Lesson 8. However, by the time I was going through that particular lesson, I still had no clue as to what a Post was either!
Therfore, I figured that this tutorial will target this topic more clearly and provide specific details on Pages & Posts for the benefit of newcomers to WA.
I want to assure you that Kyle is (like Carson) highly dedicated to the provision of the best possible training to his loyal WA followers. I have communicated with him to see if it is possible to give us a bit more comprehensive training on the topic of Pages & Posts. I trust Kyle's actions and know for a fact that he knows best as to what needs to be done.
