Pinterest is basically a huge search engine that operates like a digital bulletin board.

Your Pinterest account is comprised of 2 things - BOARDS & PINS.

Your Boards are just like a bulletin board, except in digital form.

YourPins are pieces of content that you pin to the Board, just like if you had a bulletin board hanging on your wall.

So your BOARDS hold your PINS.

You'll have the option to "FOLLOW" other Pinterest profiles, and when you do that their pins will show up in a "Feed" inside your Pinterest account when you first login, similar to the Facebook feed you get from all of your friends inside Facebook.
