Once your account is opened, you'll need to add your profile name, a description and an image.

You will have to decide if you're going to use your business/blog name, or your personal name or both. There are pros and cons to each and people do it both ways. It all depends on your specific business. Search around inside Pinterest to see how others are handling that issue and you'll get some ideas.

If your using your name, be sure and use your personal image as your profile image and not an image of your dog, your cat or anything else that isn't YOU. People want to connect with people! Not with their pets or inanimate objects. Pinterest is a "social" platform, so act socially :)

As for your description, be sure that you have one that leaves people in no doubt as to what your blog niche is. Don't leave them guessing. If they don't see a description that makes them believe you will have content they will be interested in, they will quickly leave your profile.
