The next step we will take is to look at some possible posting strategies you can use for adding content as a member of Reddit...

First, I want to briefly go over again what we have covered to now:

WHAT WE HAVE COVERED TO NOW...

- We mentioned what Reddit is, how it works in general terms, and how to sign up...

- We then covered the reasons for using Reddit as a part of your online marketing business...

- We covered how plan for and sign up for subreddits and refine your target audiences so you can reach the people that will want to read your content...

So now let's dig into some strategies you can use when planning for posting content...

REDDIT POSTING STRATEGIES

Strategy # 1 - Post in the main subreddit.

After researching and determining which of the subreddits you want to participate in, the next step is to start building a relationship with members of the subreddit. You can do this by commenting on posts, or posting your own content...

Just be careful on how and what you add. Always focus on adding value..A simple 'This is great' is NOT going to get you any upvotes nor add to your Karma score hehe...A more thought out approach that presents your position clearly and forcefully will work much better...

Strategy # 2 - Post in a complementary subreddit.

Another strategy that may work well is to look for complementary subreddits that are closely related to the main niche and ones that you know from your research the members will also have an interest in...

You will capture lots of people NOT in the main subreddit and it can help...I consider this to be a good tactic to use on an occasional basis and have seen it used by many members...

Strategy # 3 - Post in a main reddit

You also have the option to post in the main reddit subjects if you think it will work to help grow your reputation and credibility. These are seen by the multitudes that visit the site often, so getting attention may be harder...

Strategy # 4 - Create your own subreddit.

Lastly, you can start your own subreddit and as such you will be the moderator. You set the rules, and you can add in a link to your website. Be aware that getting members may not go well unless you have been an active member and built up a following...

I do like the strategy and think that this can be something you do some groundwork on other subreddits prior to implementing...The idea is to become an expert in your chosen niche, THEN draw people in to your own subreddit...

Bottom Line:

Each of these may work for you, and there are many other options you can come up with when considering your particular niche. The real important thing for any of them is that you add something of value to the subreddit, preferably unique, and do not overpromote...

We'll wind up this short tutorial on the next page where we will cover the psychology behind sharing and up or down voting action members can take, and add in some other advanced tools you may want to look at.

More fun on the next page : ) ==>

Good stuff. I occasionally post on Reddit. I try not to post on there all the time as I don't want to spam the boards. Plus, it is also good to interact with other posts the board before posting.

Yes, lots of interesting subreddits to look at...I too am more of a lurker up to this point...I wanted to really understand how it all works before just jumping in...Those that use it for spamming do not last long hehe...Definitely, the platform requires a strategy when proceeding...I agree with you, it is better to start interaction with a subreddit group prior to posting your own stuff...Thanks for adding to the conversation....Cheers! Hi Dave really good to see a tutorial with some real actionable information in it, really appreciate your take on things, Not currently using Reddit but feel that I am well placed to make some positive gains after viewing and implementing some of the tips and advice in this training thank you.One of the things that were putting me off to a degree was the need to be aware of offending other members. Like all things, it is all about being aware and adapting accordingly.Thank you much, appreciated.

Thanks, Alexander...This platform is one of the most interesting to me so far, in that there is a lot of very informed people (and some not so much hehe) that like to add their thoughts into a conversation...These people that take the time to do so are also more likely to take action with your offers if you can entice them over to your website! Cheers! Dave : )

Glad it may be of use to you...The thing I like is there is a huge audience and they can be very targeted users that you interact with...As you build your reputation and 'karma' your voice will command attention, and these folks that listen are already primed to take action...Cheers! Dave : )
