This is something that you may be wondering about...First you may wonder why am I talking psychology and secondly what in the world does this have to do with posting content on Reddit...

The answer to both is right here for you, and I certainly think it is important enough to make you aware of how psychology can affect the positive or negative social actions others may take on your posts...

PSYCHOLOGY OF REDDIT MEMBERS

As within others areas of life, when you interact with other people on Reddit, you will notice a certain amount of acrimony if members sniff a spammy post or do not agree with another member's position...

The same holds for the shares, the up or down votes, or as stated, the comments...There is no extra points given for shares or up votes or down votes..There has to be a compelling reason for them to take any action at all...

Even having a super post with lots of good and useful information will not get you an upvoteor a share in many cases. There has to be something that tugs at the reader...

Things that can help are good strong titles, a catchy thumbnail if used, and a prose that will tug at their emotions over just presenting information....

People share content for three reasons I think as follows:

- They think it will be good for someone else they know.

- They think it will promote a discussion with people they know.

- The content says something that they agree with or feel strongly about.

So as you plan your content, do so with this in mind. I already have mentioned many other cautions about Reddit to now, and if you are serious about getting a good 'karma' score and also building your authority and credibility, keep these things in mind.

This is also why I say do not go into this lightly. The members will tear you up if they feel you are just there to sell something. In a way this is good, because you know you have serious players on the platform...

Lastly, we will cover some advanced features that you may want to tap into and then wrap up the training....Ready for the last page? ===>

Good stuff. I occasionally post on Reddit. I try not to post on there all the time as I don't want to spam the boards. Plus, it is also good to interact with other posts the board before posting.

Yes, lots of interesting subreddits to look at...I too am more of a lurker up to this point...I wanted to really understand how it all works before just jumping in...Those that use it for spamming do not last long hehe...Definitely, the platform requires a strategy when proceeding...I agree with you, it is better to start interaction with a subreddit group prior to posting your own stuff...Thanks for adding to the conversation....Cheers! Hi Dave really good to see a tutorial with some real actionable information in it, really appreciate your take on things, Not currently using Reddit but feel that I am well placed to make some positive gains after viewing and implementing some of the tips and advice in this training thank you.One of the things that were putting me off to a degree was the need to be aware of offending other members. Like all things, it is all about being aware and adapting accordingly.Thank you much, appreciated.

Thanks, Alexander...This platform is one of the most interesting to me so far, in that there is a lot of very informed people (and some not so much hehe) that like to add their thoughts into a conversation...These people that take the time to do so are also more likely to take action with your offers if you can entice them over to your website! Cheers! Dave : )

Glad it may be of use to you...The thing I like is there is a huge audience and they can be very targeted users that you interact with...As you build your reputation and 'karma' your voice will command attention, and these folks that listen are already primed to take action...Cheers! Dave : )
