Keyword research is important in choosing your domain name, page and blog titles and content, and in SEO plugins. If I'm looking for keywords for content or titles, I look for popular keywords with little completion, but I don't ignore the rest of the keywords that come up. I place them in source boxes that ask for keywords.

When writing, avoid stuffing of keywords to avoid problems with the search engines. I put the keyword or phrase in the title, the first paragraph and the last paragraph. The old one percent theory doesn't hold anymore.

Suggestion: I use JAAXY which is the best keyword tool for affiliate marketers. I also use ubersuggest.org and Google suggest. Sometimes I look at meta files on competitive sites to see what keywords they are using.

Margaret, you are very welcome. I'm getting too old and senile for writing tutorials but I finally got the last two in proper order. Thank you for reading my musings and you are welcome. John

While you're at it (your post below), you might want to arrange the wording in the title. "Site Not Producing Income Problems" is a good thing. You DON'T want a site to produce income problems. perhaps "Possible Problems for a Site not Producing Income" or " Problems for a Site Not Producing Income". Or ???

Just a thought . . .
