Hello! 5-11-2013

Personal: I'll be 70 years young next January. My wife and I have been married 45 years. God has blessed us with 3 daughters, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren! I was a teacher for 25 years, the last 22 as a sub teacher. I taught all grades and subjects, mostly at the high school and middle school level. I've done every type of sales except retail sales. I've also worked in a dog food factory, office work, and a lot more.

Business: Perhaps like a lot of you I've tried a number of things online. I enjoyed trading and investing the most, especially FOREX trading. Never could make much, though, and invariably lost money. And yes, I've gone for the "latest and greatest" and the "new shiny object". You know what happened---fortunately I didn't lose much.

Why I'm here: I'm SO tired of "experts" and "gurus", with names I've never heard of, trying to promote their latest launch that will absolutely kill___________(fill in the blank). S-O-O-O I'm here to establish an online income that I can rely on, without all the hype to "buy this" or "do that".

Questions? Thoughts? Ideas? - - - Let me know!

Bill

The person that introduced me to WA said he felt it was "like a breath of fresh air". This is my first day as I write this, and already I can see why he felt that way.

Bill - Do keep in mind that if you pay for the year upfront it's about a $200.00 savings for the year. It only hurts for a little bit instead of each and every month. Not to mention stress when having to think about another monthly bill. It really is worth it. It's about $359.00 for the annual premium. Just a thought. Keep it in mind.

I know what you said is true. But I don't even have the $47, let alone the $300+ for yearly membership.

Thanks for thinking of me!

Good luck to you, Bill, and your family. I'm new here, too, and 71 yrs. old. I am currently thinking of what to do here. I have plenty of ideas, but I seem to let my fear of success (which is a product of my upbringing) get in the way.

Don't know if it's my upbringing or not but I, too, suffer from fear of failure - - - and fear of success as well. Just part of the challenges I/we have to overcome.

My suggestion would be to pick an idea that you are passionate about - - - or at least something where you have a really strong interest. Start there and see what happens!

I saw you asking about the Hendershot generator. I have had several emails about it. I think it's a scam

I did a bit more research, and it appears that Hendershot was the only one who could make his invention work. Same thing for another guy who had a perpetual motion device. Then my wife told me it's not on Facebook anymore. End of story!

How have things worked out for me? Not nearly as well as I had hoped. Life got in the way for the first couple of months. Still have some of that and, with the Mystery Shopping I do, I don't have nearly the time I would like to work on WA. So I figure the Lord is teaching me to be patient and wait for His timing or ???

But every person comes from a different background, has different talents, etc. So just because things are going slow for me right now doesn't mean you'll go slow as well. Seems like I remember seeing at least one person, maybe two that were earning money within a month or so. I would encourage you to keep on working at WA. I've seen more than enough success stories to know that success will come to anyone who sticks it out here at WA and follows the training.

Hopefully all is going well for you.

The youngest member here at WA is 16 as far as I know, the oldest? TjBooks? I have had my fair share of scams online. See my recent blog post and I have put up my link to my website. Still needs work, but the main content is there.

Thanks very much for the follow, Bill - someone who is my senior by a few years - but looks my junior! An interesting life you've had and the experience should serve you well here. Indeed, WA is far and away the most interesting and supportive community I've encountered on the net and I'm glad you're now a part if it. :) george

Hi Bill! I read your comments on Jenna7's profile, and you're right--Dr. Mercola is a valuable resource. Occasionally I'll find info that says the FDA jumped on Mercola for this or that, but we all know the FDA is in the back pocket of Big Pharma, anyway. So, when the FDA screams, I know Mercola is doing something right. :-)

Interesting work history, Bill. Looks like you've gotten around. In a good way, of course. Life experience is a great asset to have.

The name Bill is another great asset. After all, where there's a William, there's a way. Wishing you all the best. Nice to meet you, and please keep in touch. :-)

My wife was actually born in Radway, but has always given Edmonton as her birthplace. After all, who would know where Radway is, right? Unfortunately, geography , at least Canadian Geography, is hardly covered in schools; you'd be surprised how many aren't sure where Edmonton or even Alberta are.

We are not in Alberta, but in SW WA (the state, not what we belong to!). We are about 40 miles north of Portland OR.

Why would we tangle over ADHD (now just included under ADD)? I didn't think I had it, but as the expert who diagnosed me said, there are 5 or 6 groupings of symptoms and 4-5 subheadings under each of the groupings. Thus there are many styles and variations , if you will, of ADHD. I've never been one of the "bounce off the walls" types, but he rattled off 5 or 6 things he saw in me and I had to agree with every one.

Fortunately I've got a milder case, so coffee works well to mostly keep it under control. I still have challenges with my mind wandering and/or being distracted by something and focusing on it instead of what needs to be done at the moment.

I remember one student in particular. I could visibly see the changes as his meds wore off and he went from sitting calmly to constantly moving around and/or being out of his seat. I know some parents use the meds to control their kids instead of administering proper discipline, but that's a whole different story.

Let me know your thoughts,

Bill

You're welcome! I'm glad something I shared was an encouragement to you. In spite of being in WA for 2 months I haven't really done anything. Life got in the way, but it looks like I'll have time now. Nice thing about WA, though is that it's always here and ready whenever you are. Yes, there is a lot to learn. Just relax and enjoy as much as possible!

In the meanwhile, if you need to earn some money, you might consider mystery shopping. I've been doing it for 9 years now, and I love it. It looks like you're only a half hour's drive from Atlanta metro, so you should have lots of work available. You can work as much or as little as you want, and set your own schedule. More I could say, but if you think you might be interested in learning more just let me know. I'll answer any questions you have, and I can refer you to reputable companies to get you started.
