You can also configure ads to be used in the widgets section of your WordPress dashboard.
Here I have moved over to Ad Block 2, and pasted the banner code I wish to use in my widgets area.
I will want this banner to display in the sidebar on my website.
I do not need to configure anything for this, I simply need to paste my banner code, and save my changes.
Here is the sidebar on my website, as you can see, there is no banner displaying yet.
To insert the banner in my sidebar, I need to first go to the widgets area within my WordPress dashboard.
This area is found in the "Appearance" area on the left of the WordPress dashboard.
When you access the widgets area, you will see the Ad Inserter widget listed among the first of the widgets that display in the area.
You will want to drag the ad inserter widget over to your sidebar area, and place the widget in the section where you want the banner to appear.
I want my banner to appear below the search bar, so I have placed my ad inserter widget directly under my search widget.
Once the widget is in place, you will need to click the triangle to open the widget interface.
In the Block section, you will need to select the block that you want to display, here I have selected Block 2 because that's the block I placed the banner in that I wish to display in this section of my sidebar.
Once the ad block has been properly selected, you will want to save your changes.
Here is my sidebar, with the banner displaying properly.
I just installed the Ad-Inserter and wonder if you suggest anything to be changed on it from a new user just publishing their website?
I'm bombarded with info right now just trying to get started, but if a couple of things need to be changed in the settings I'll get to it.
Still got lots to learn, as I want to use the manual feature for certain post. Question if I to put an add using the short code, where do I get the short code for to insert there.
Thanks so much. Great job!
Coralie
This plugin is also asking for it. What do I do? Any advice appreciated as I've wasted DAYS looking and trialling various plugins to no avail.
Thanks,
Chris
