What is your Wealthy Affiliate Profile Description?

Your WA profile is the description that appears on your WA homepage (if you want to call it that) or your WA space, more commonly referred to. The URL for where your profile description appears is:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/[your-user id]

For example, mine is https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/stephhill

Carson's is https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/carson

Kyle's is https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle

When anyone wants to learn more about you, this is the page they come to. Your WA profile page is accessed whenever anyone clicks on your image icon or your hyperlinked user id within the WA platform. Your profile description is what gives people their first impression of you.

Thank you Steph, for such necessary and well communicated training; thanks also for drawing my attention to your different training. Thankfully, although I did not see such training earlier, I believe you would give me a reasonable grade for my profile description. . . . keep the great work going.

Great insights Steph, many thanks.
I just worry older members people might feel insulted if we referred them to your training - just a thought!!

Great blog Stephanie,
I always appreciate seeing a good bio and whilst I realise it isn't always the case, I think a decent bio indicates that the writer is confident about being here and is serious about their ambitions.
Good info for newbies to take on board Steph, well done!

Hi Mark!

You have made an excellent point. I agree with you and I think others will too. A decent bio does indicate confidence and seriousness about joining WA. That too will play a role in how comfortable their new referrals will be. If your referrals see your profile and if it is not showing confidence and seriousness, how can they be expected to be serious about WA and working hard to achieve their goals?

Hi Steph or anyone else out there- just a question about adding social media links on our profiles. I see that you (Steph) have added your links but they are not clickable links. Do the guys here not want us to have clickable links to external media sites on our profiles? I can see why they probably wouldn't want that as it would take readers away from this site. just wondered if this is a site "no no"?
Reply
stephhill Premium
Hi Kevin!

It is true that any link that is posted in our profile is not clickable. That is an awesome observation. Thank you for mentioning that. You can still access it by copying and pasting the URL. However, I believe the reason why links in your profile description are not clickable is to deter spammers from joining WA and posting links to their spammy websites through their initial profile page. As you probably know, WA has a strict no spam policy.

Thank you again for bringing that issue up. If anyone else has any insight or comment that better answers this question, please do so.

Hi Kevin!

I am sure your profile is just fine. The last thing I want to do is drive people crazy trying to make their profile description perfect, because it does not need to be perfect, only "real" and "true" to your reasons for joining.

Hi Sami!

I developed the training with that in mind - for new members and also for those who might need this as well who still have an incomplete profile description. Many thanks again!

Hi Steph, I really liked that. Very thorough. How do you link a person to this training? Not that I would... Maybe, Kyle? Ha ha!
Reply

Hi Paula!

That is funny. I do recommend posting a link to this training on anyone's profile page in which you think it could help them, because that is what this training is intended to do. :)

Hi thanks for this. You are right a profile page is where we first introduce ourselves to the world. A good profile page keeps the reader interested and more likely to explore your site. A bad one and you may lose customers.
