On the previous pages I talked about the 4 icons at the bottom of every Twitter tweet, however there is a fifth icon that only appears on tweets that are your own. This is one of the many new features Twitter has rolled out since my Part 1 training on Twitter. This fifth icon as seen below is called the “View Tweet Activity” icon.
This is a neat new feature that I really like because you can now see how well your tweets have done. This is great for someone who engages in Social Media Marketing, which I do on almost a daily basis. Approximately half of my website conversions come from the use of SMM, as well as increased traffic. Now as seen in the below image I can see how my tweet has done.
When clicking on the “View Tweet Activity” icon it brings up a new user interface pop up, see above image. This will show me my total Impressions of my tweet and how many Engagements (Retweets, Favorites, Replies, & Clicks on the link within the tweet) that my tweet has received. This helps when testing different kinds of tweets which I do on a daily basis.
NOTE: The Get Started button on this new screen is for promoting your tweet to a targeted audience, but you have to pay for this. It is like doing PPC campaigns. A normal Twitter tweet will appear on the Home Page newsfeed of your followers and those who follow you momentarily. Promoted Tweets will stay at the top of the newsfeed of a targeted Twitter audience member.
NOW YOU CAN SEE MEMBER DETAILS
One thing I hated about the old Twitter was that you had to click on a members Twitter avatar just to see who they were. But now all you have to do is point to their Twitter avatar and a pop up summary of who they are will appear, see below image.
As you can see you no longer have to click through to the profile of a member just to check out who they are. Just point to their avatar and you get the information you need. This is basically what Facebook and Google+ have been doing for quite some time. Twitter has now caught up to the rest.
