To show you how the Pretty Link Stats will look like, I will show you the stats for my most actively clicked link. When you mouse over any of your created links within the Pretty Link Links menu, you will see various option you can perform. These are: Edit, Delete, Reset, Hits, Tweet & Email. All are pretty self-explanatory, see below image.

I will explain “Hits” however, and in the middle you will see two sets of numbers. The first set represents overall hits (or clicks) on your link and the second set of numbers are the unique hits. When you click on your own link, it will be counted within the first set of numbers and not the second. Now if you click on the word “Hits” you will be sent to a graph of hits, see below image.

This graph will give you a visual representation of how many hits (clicks) your particular link has gained within a month’s time. And below the graph it will display more stats that show the IP address, timestamp, URL, Referrer, and Title of the Pretty Link. This will help you to track when and where people are clicking on your link.

And that is it as for the Pretty Link Lite plugin training. If you enjoyed this tutorial show your love by clicking the green “Like This” button below. I prefer pretty links perhaps it is because I find it easier, have a try with both and see which you like best, try it out on a practice website

I would choose Pretty Link because it includes your domain name and then the shortened slug. You can either select the 3 or 4 character shortened link the Pretty Link generates or you can create your own.

Can to explain to me what cloaking a link exactly is? I have seen that word before, but I don't understand the benefit or meaning of it

Cloaking is where you deliberately mislead Google into telling them they are going to one site but you take visitors to somewhere completely different .

jivitaa339 is correct. Some call it a form of Black Hat SEO that as you know is not recommended that you do.
