Thank You!

I hope you have found this tutorial to be helpful when setting specific parameters and options for embedding YouTube videos into your website. Dealing with the HTML can be tricky, but worth it if you can custom the look of a video to the way you want it.

Very good training Steph, I haven`t done much with video, I want to get into it if you have your own products it helps to give you a talking point, but when you are just promoting affiliate stuff it sort of stops me in my tracks.

Unless you have bought the item then you can talk about it, I suppose also it depends on what your blogs about too.

I have done plenty of post on HiFi etc and WA stuff, but I use other people's Video`s which it makes it quite easy to do.

I did a test on my android phone and it put ME OFF! lol.

I think with video`s you have to come across as quite natural and try to speak and look with some sort of conviction. I know you can use words on paper or don`t have your video on you, it's not that I am shy or anything , I just think people ain`t going to stay on there long if it`s piffle.

Any suggestions would be most appreciative.

Regards,

Lou

I think it is not allowed to manipulate videos from YouTube.

This tutorial is not about manipulating the content of videos. It focuses on selecting options as far as size, to not have other videos following the conclusion of your video, etc. and playing only a portion of the video.

Thank you Jovo for commenting.

I see instructions how to avoid playing parts of the video, at the beginning and at the end. At such places the authors put their URLs usually, so I am convinced this is not allowed. I just raised a question about this, I am not a lawyer but this does not look good to me. Not the first time that I see such instructions. The point is if this is not your video, you should not cut it.

Hi Jovo:

After doing a little research on the reference section of YouTube's Developer page for <iFrame> Player API, I came across a list of all parameters that are supported and thus, allowed. Everyone can view the list here:

https://developers.google.com/youtube/player_parameters

That being said, I think it is a wise choice to always create your own content and videos. As I have said in many other discussion forums here at WA, creating your own video content is part of your branding. It creates a solid following and trust and also good practice for us in spreading our wings and growing in other areas.

Thank you Jovo for checking out my training. Have a great day!

I hope you have followed discussion after I asked the question at WA.
Here is one part: I am speaking about videos which I do not own, and it seems you too speak about this. The message from this link is pretty clear, changing the video is not allowed by formal rules, not to mention unwritten ethical rules.

Thank you so much Steph! I had no idea that we could control the start and end times of YouTube videos. This is really very helpful. I've actually wanted to use several videos, but didn't because they advertised their own site at the end.
