When I first heard that I have to reduce the size of my images (so that they would not take so much space = results in a slow website) I didn't quite understand what I was supposed to do.
Should I just go to my posts and reduce the dimensions of my images? My second thought was to crop the images. The answer is no and no lol
By reducing the size of an image we mean reduce the pixels of the image so it will not take up so much space.
Now, if you do a right click on an image and then choose Properties--> Details you will be able to see the dimensions of the image. There we have our pixels.
So, what we have to do is reduce the pixels of the image before we upload it to our Media library and display it on our website.

It's a bummer that you can't just load all your originals into the media library and have to spend time changing them all! With the cameras these days, the pixels are so large that I have to modify every single photo! The program I use is Windows Picture Manager. It's a good one, too :)
Thanks for the lesson. It's great to know this stuff!
