In the final section of this tutorial I wanted to go over the basics of how to write good content for SEO, whilst still creating quality content for your audience.
Wealthy Affiliate always teach you to write as though you were speaking to a friend. Its important that your text flows naturally, just as it would if you were speaking out loud. Although on-page SEO is still very important, its more important to remember your audience. You should never create a page that is filled with keywords just for the sake of it. You should never add lots of irrelevant videos or images that don't fit in with what you are writing about. The key to writing good content for both SEO and your human visitors is to keep it natural.
Place an internal link where it would be useful to your viewer. Use BOLD text to emphasize something that you are saying. Use an image where text is not enough and use video as a tool to explain and engage.
Last but not least you should encourage engagement within your posts.
Blog Comments
From an SEO point of view getting your site visitors to comment on your blog posts is a great way to build up your content. One thing that proves to Google that people are finding your content interesting and worth reading is blog comments. In this tutorial we have already talked about keeping your content up to date, and site comments are a way of adding fresh content to your pages and posts.
Getting people to add comments to your posts improves your on site SEO in a couple of different ways. First of all It ads further content to your post. Longer and more in-depth posts tend to rank better within the search engines. And secondly, comments show interaction and this too helps to further improve your pages position in the search results.
Fortunately here at Wealthy Affiliate we have a head start with the Site Rubix blog comments section, where we can get as many comments as we like.
