Another nice thing about submitting your content through Google Webmaster Tools is that you can also submit two or more pages of content at the same time. The only thing is you cannot do this all the time. Google limits you in how many times you can do this every month.

But the nice thing about this feature is that if you have just created and/or updated two or more pages or posts that are interlinked with each other, you can have Google index one page and then follow the links on that page to index the other pages and post it links to.

Using Fetch as Google and Submit to Index is the easiest and fastest way to get your updated and your newly published content indexed into Google quickly. Normally it takes Googlebot about 3 to 4 days before it will find and index any new content. This is especially true for new websites.

But if you want your content to be indexed into Google within a matter of hours instead of days, using Fetch as Google and Submit to Index will get your content indexed really fast. I have had my content indexed within 3 hours. I do this like clock-work. Every time I publish new content, I immediately go into GWT and index my newly published content.

The below video from Google will better explain how this works and give you a little insight into what Fetch as Google and Submit to Index will do for your website content. The quicker you can be indexed the quicker you can get SEO working on your content. Just click the link below the picture.

Hi Robert, appreciate this information very much. Just yesterday I logged in to GWT and was looking at the information and thought to myself that I should spend more time getting familiar with all the info it provides.

You are welcome Vanessa! There are many more features to GWT than what I explained here and I will be doing another training on those other features in the near future. I just didn't want to cram them all into one training.

But yes, I highly recommend you poke around in GWT. It is how I learned much of what I know now. :)
