Many people do not think of using Google Webmaster Tools for finding keywords for their existing content on their websites. But guess what? You can find some of the best keywords for your content on GWT and here is why.

A few months ago I posted a scam review on the drop shipping program called DS Domination that kind of teaches you drop shipping on eBay. What they teach is NOT drop shipping, so if you are considering joining them to learn drop shipping DON’T, STAY AWAY!

Anyways, one of the programs they have is called DS Domination Monopoly and I mention it only once within the review. However “DS Domination Monopoly” was the second most searched keyword for my scam review listed in GWT, (See Below Image).

UPDATE = GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE SCREENS LOOK A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT NOW, BUT THE FUNCTIONALITY REMAINS THE SAME.

So what I did was to create a blog post on it and made my blog title“DS Domination Monopoly – Not Worth the $500” thus using that keyword within the beginning of the post title. About 3 weeks after that post went live it was on Page 1 of Google. Then in another week or two it was in the #1 spot where it still is today.

If it weren’t for Google Webmaster Tools, I would have never known what people were typing into the search engines to find my content. So where did I find this keyword list? By clicking on the “Search Queries” tab on the GWT Dashboard,(See Below Image).

UPDATE = IT NO LONGER SAYS SEARCH QUERIES ON THIS SCREEN. IT NOW SAYS SEARCH ANALYTICS.

NEXT UP = More great features of Google Webmaster Tools

Hi Robert, appreciate this information very much. Just yesterday I logged in to GWT and was looking at the information and thought to myself that I should spend more time getting familiar with all the info it provides.

You are welcome Vanessa! There are many more features to GWT than what I explained here and I will be doing another training on those other features in the near future. I just didn't want to cram them all into one training.

But yes, I highly recommend you poke around in GWT. It is how I learned much of what I know now. :)
