Facebook fan pages are much easier to get started finding followers. You can simply ask your Facebook “friends” to follow your new fan page. But, before you do that... please review the following tips.
- Choosing a relevant username.
- Writing a catchy description in the description field provided.
- Add your mission and your business overview in the relevant fields.
- Complete an accurate relevant long description for your business.
- Identify your ideal Facebook fan. Example: their interests, location and demographic if relevant to your business.
- Share relevant, high-quality, and helpful (even funny!) content to share with your followers. You don’t need to always offer links.
- Keep your shares non-political and/or non-religious based. By sharing upbeat, positive and helpful information will gain you more quality followers organically.
- Use relevant images and videos to increase the attention to your post and possibly gain more followers when your followers share your posts.
- NEVER ask for “likes” and/or “Shares” as Facebook will no longer show organically posts that ask for these things.
- Create a contest giving away different gifts, making the “price” for entering the contest is to “Like” your fan page first. There are tools available to help you do this, though you need to keep in mind that if your brand is not well known... your success with this suggestion may not be as well as a more established business.
- Promote your new fan page on Twitter (or any other social media account you own)! Maybe even tweet the contest details.
- Learn to create quality Facebook ads. You don’t need to spend a fortune if you learn to create ads that attract new followers.
- When someone likes a post you made, see if the person is following your fan page. If not, send them a request to follow you.
- Be sure to have your fan page follow other relevant accounts. Research and found influencers.
- Make sure your website displays your Facebook fan page account link.

Trish, this training is absolutely a treasure for me. Social media is still new territory to me. I have joined Google Plus, but have not got accustomed to it yet. The other week I joined Facebook, thanks to Bo Tipton I understand how it works a little bit.
I have bookmarked your training and I am going to study it thouroughly.
Trish, could it be that there was a glitch in the WA system and the training was not sent as a notification?
This training must go viral!!
