Once you have your page set up, then you are going to want to have it seen by others, otherwise what’s the point? Facebook actually provides various different built in functions for this very purpose.

Share with Friends

If you look on your main Dashboard just below the menu tabs, you will see a box that shows a list of some of your friends, and next to it, an ‘Invite’ button. You can use this to Invite some of your friends to like your page.

If you click on the ‘…’ button (as pictured) and look at the drop down menu, you will see an option to Invite friends. By clicking on this, it will bring up a list of ALL your friends, so you can send an Invite to as many people as you like. It may be worth noting though, that if you try to send Invites to too many people at once, it just crashes its system and you have to start again. So if you’re inviting a lot of people, I’d stick to inviting about 20 at a time.

Sharing your Page Into Groups

On the same drop down menu, you will see a ‘Share’ option. Clicking this will give you the opportunity to share your page onto your own profile page, a friends profile page, by Private or Group Message or onto another page you may manage.

You can use use the link to your page and share it into some of the Facebook Groups that may be relevant to your page. If you are doing this though, be sure to check out the rules of that particular group before posting as many group admins don’t take too kindly to people spamming them. So read the group rules before posting in it.

Link your website

If you have your own website related to your page, you may want to back link to it by using the Facebook Like button, Comments and ‘Share’ buttons on your website. That way people can also share your site content directly onto Facebook.

Personally, I like to use the WordPress Plug-in Social “Add to Any Social Media Plug-in, as you can use it completely Free for it’s basic functions.”. But there are many more you can choose from.

Here’s to your New Facebook Page

Well, I hope that this tutorial has helped you in getting your Page up and running. Like most things, it can often take a little while before you start seeing any real action.

But always keep your posts consistent and let the followers come to you. You may want to message some of the people on your friends list who have been added for the sake of business and encourage them to follow your page from now on.

Like I said earlier, regular Facebook account and profile only allows you to have up to 5,000 friends. A Facebook page allows you unlimited Followers, so you needn’t worry about reaching any limits. The sky’s the limit now!
