Before you can create a page, the first thing you will need is a Facebook account. IF you haven’t got one already, then you can set one up Free in just a few seconds;
- Go to Facebook.com
- Click “Register” next to the “Log in” button.
- Fill in your details: Name, Email address, D.O.B (If you are uncomfortable with sharing your personal Information then you can always use an Alias, although with your Business, I’d suggest you be as transparent as you possibly can).
- Upload a profile picture. This is Optional and you can upload any picture you want. But again, for business purposes, I suggest you use a Photo of yourself as you want too build trust between you and your potential clients or customers.
- Go to your profile page and click “Edit Bio” and tell the world a bit about yourself. You can also give details of your School, Places you’ve lived, worked, etc. Again, all of this is optional, but for the sake of your business you may want to give as much detail as you think will be beneficial.

You can also check out the “Find Friends” section if you want and it will give you friend suggestions based on your email address, location, interests, etc. Once again, this is optional, but if you don’t add any friends then nobody will see anything you do on Facebook at all, which kinda defeats the purpose of having it, unless
it’s only to look at other peoples stuff, ie, shop & business pages, etc. But if you are aiming to promote your business, then you may want to have a friends list. Remember though, when you create a Page, it will be able to attract it’s own “Friends list” so to speak, so it’s up to you.
