On Page SEO

This section will be short and is a just few tips to help you rank your highest. You should do these on every single post you do.

1) Have your keyword in the first 100 words. If you're doing best slow cookers 2018 you'll want to at least use the term "best slow cookers" in the introduction.

2) Link out to trusted websites. Not just Amazon either. I would try to link out to 4 to 6 known websites every post. This shows Google your active in the community and trustworthy.

3) Link to your own content. This is called internal linking and each post should have 3 internal links to your own content. This helps Google rank your content quicker and rank higher. So when you post "Best Slow Cookers 2018" go back to older content and create a link. Add a new paragraph somewhere when you do this to get Google's attention.

4) Make sure your content is visually pleasing and easy to read. Use bullets, pictures and short paragraphs. Make sure you sentences are concise as well.

5) Write naturally and don't keyword stuff. You don't want to use the term "best slow cookers" over and over over and over again.

Thanks Dylan. Now you will think that I am a bit thick, but am I right to think that I should create a website specifically for (examples) "best slow cookers", and another one specifically for "best coffee machines", etc.. and not a website for "best home appliances" and review "best slow cookers", "best coffee machines", etc. on the same website?

Thanks for your time.

Thanks Steve. Of course I don't mind you giving me a hand. I feel better now as I was already progressing well and thought that maybe I had been wasting my time.

Cheers.

Steve has it right.. I would pick a kitchen niche and just do every appliance you can think of. Go to Amazon and check out there categories. You can find great niches that way.

Hi Dylan,

I am working on my new website and it is time to write content for one specific type of product. Let's say my "best of" is about "best slow cookers", and I have selected 10 of them. As I understand it the review for each one of them will come one after the other on the same post. How many keywords would you select for such a post? and what would be your "Focus Keyword" if for example you tell me that I should have 5 good keywords?

Also, for example, reviewing 10 products would take a long time, would it be clever to do 5, publish, and come back the next day and do another 5, adding to the same post?

Thanks again for this extremely good tutorial.

If you write best slow cookers that keyword will rank for several keywords - that's what I meant. Just write it once and title it best slow cookers 2018 and put the url as best slow cookers. When 2019 comes around you update it.

Hi Dylan,

Fantastic post, you have certainly got me motivated with this strategy, I was also hit by the google Fred update last year,

it made me kind of give up on the site until I read through your methods which have made me think again.

Congratulations in making it in affiliate marketing, i'm sure there will be a few following these strategies here at WA, including me.

It's all about what you put in as to what you will get out in the end.

Thanks for the info you provided here :)

Hi Dylan,
Thanks for the great tips, only 6 months into Amazon affiliate marketing in the small appliance niche and struggling to get traffic with 1000 - 1500 word single product reviews. Most of the latest ones are ranked on page 1, some on page 2, due to better product and keyword research. But, still not a lot of traffic.
Until now I've been reluctant to try best of reviews because I thought Google would not like the high number of affiliate links on a single page on such a new website. Using more words is the key so I'm off to start writing 3000 - 4000-word posts for best of 2018 products.
Is it a good idea to internal link to my previous review pages as well as the Amazon affiliate links?

Thanks again, I'll let you and everyone know how it turns out:)

I'm going to start with your approach. I have a niche website that I am happy with at this point and I am drafting a few "best of" posts now. I took your advise and finished lesson 3, and I'm pretty confident I have the skills needed to continue with this strategy. I really hope this works. Thanks for this training.
