How to Find Your IP Address

When you first think about how you can find your IP address, you may be wondering if it's going to be a daunting task.

I bet you imagine yourself wading through emails trying to find the one that says what your IP address is.

But, nope!

It's simple.

You just Google it.

As soon as you hit Google Search, your IP address will be shown in big, bold numbers.

Copy it down because you'll need it for the next step.

You might want to use Google Analytics opt out browser add-on and this will permanently solve the issue of the dynamic address. Easy steps.

Opt out browser add-on? Please tell me more. I don't know what that is! I'm sure that will help others reading this too.

Yes it will, this is the only way to deal with dynamic addresses, and they are mostly dynamic. So you might add this in the training. Just go to Google and type what I mentioned you will have it instantly, this is one of their standard tools. But ok here is the link

So it sounds like you could use this extension instead of manually filtering through analytics?

I will add this in the training as an option.

Thank you!

It is more a must than an option. IP addresses change all the time depending on the location, in the US it is usually weakly.

I'm in the US, and it's not that often for me. I know what you're saying though. They do change quite a bit.

Oh interesting. So my IP address probably changed when our power went out the other night.

I can not use this with my browser, I have EDGE. What should I do to opt-out with that? Any suggestions?
