Here is the link to check the Keyword density.

http://kesor.net/keyword-density/

Again this is not to get caught up in Keyword density but is to check and make sure the keyword you are wanting to rank for is in the post the way you want it to be. You maybe surprised.

Again here is the Keyword training in case you have not been through or reviewed it I recommend you do so.

Here is a blog post that I did about it

There will be another Video in two days. Give you time to work on this one.

how does keyword density matter when it comes to doing all those extra images. I am confused about how much my content needs to have certain words when the images are gonna improve that as well?

I average at least 10 images per post now and some have 30+ images. So doing all that extra keyword stuff for the images will change the density by a significant amount, wouldn't it?

Hmm... That's a good point, Eric. Something to think about... I don't use my keyword on every image in my post. Do you?
Thanks,
~ Julia

I didn't until I heard images got looked at differently from the written content. Now I have been filling in the Title, Alt title for them all with the keyword still not sure about the captions and descriptions.

Interesting... I put titles and alt text relative to the image. Alt text is used to name an image for a visually impaired person - the screen readers pick it up. So, if your image has no direct connection to your keyword, then you are fooling someone who is blind. I guess, it's only ethical issue, and SE may rank you better.

Even when you use the keywords on your image it needs to be contextual. Yes it is used by visually impaired but for other reasons also. Some one with a slow connection will also see the text along with a few other reasons. use them as much as you can but make sure it fits. Not just stuffing them in.

I understand about keyword stuffing but I keep hearing different things. Here are a few images and maybe you can let me know more about why.

Here is why I am confused: some posts rank quick and others don't so it's fine to keep trying. But when it comes to images what needs to be done on the "word images" anything?

The first image is from that same post.

The second image is what it looks like in edit after using one from site content.

The third image is from one that isn't ranked and is from the first published article on my website.

Knowing that we want to be consistent, which way should I be doing it? How many images per post each way, how many images is too many or too few, and how do you know if they make any difference if Google isn't consistent?

The captions simply benefit your visitors, especially if your images are clickable. Descriptions are just for you. Neither affects your ranking. The alt title, as well as, the attribute are definitely key factors.

I applaud you for pointing this issue; I'm totally blind and I think it's a disgrace to stuff the images alt text with keywords and no description of these images for the blind. Cheers!

That doesn't answer my questions:

which way should I be doing it? How many images per post each way, how many images is too many or too few, and how do you know if they make any difference if Google isn't consistent?

I was responding to your comment to Jewelia, that you were not sure about the captions and descriptions.

Here is a link about Alt Text: https://youtu.be/3NbuDpB_BTc (from Matt Cutts - Google)

Posts with or without images, will rank on their own merit for the text and keywords that they contain. Images rank seperately. The number to use in your posts will vary by post. I am sure that Google doesn't like images thrown in just for the sake of stuffing them, just the same as it abhors keyword stuffing, bad grammar, etc. I would put them in where appropriate to make your reader's experience better.

Hope this helps.

Thank you Bo for motivating me to take action upon the most important things.

I also want to thank you for encouraging us to do Kyles Trainings again.
I must admit that I haven't watched the video since the Jaaxy update, really should have done it earlier. By watching these both videos I have learned so many new details and I now understand much better how we can use the keywords within our blogposts without Google getting "upset" ;-)

I conclude this mail with following Quote by Einstein, which I find consistent with what Bo said in this video:

"We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them!"

That is a very true statement. Unless we change something nothing changes

Hi Bo, thank you for another helpful lesson. Keyword density checker is a helpful tool.

I also watched Kyle's videos again (3rd or 4th time :)) ), and it sounds to me like Kyle emphasized the importance of writing naturally more than using keywords multiple times. In his example, he's used his keyword twice. He mentioned that it could be used couple more times if it would fit naturally. But, it's even more important to not overstuff the content with the keywords and not be obvious in an attempt to get ranking.

Thank you again. I look forward to more excellent lessons and tips from you.

Hello Julia,

I have watched Kyles video again and it is like you say: He recommends us to use the keyword-phrase in the first paragraph and one or two times more if it fits to the content.

What I haven't realized until now is that we can use SINGLE WORDS out of the keyword-phrase in the Headlines:
Kyles Example Keyword-phrase: "3 Point Shooting Drill - Improve Accuracy & Distance"
Headline 1: "Importance of 3 POINT SHOOTING in todays game"
Headline 3: "DRILLS to IMPROVE your 3 POINTS ACCURACY"

Perhaps you knew this, but I thought it would be good to share this with you if not.

Hi Pernilla,

Thank you for your response. Of course, we can use parts of the keyword phrase, but single words or shorter tail keywords would usually have much higher QSR than the original phrase we researched in Jaaxy. So, it's not the same as using the whole phrase.

I agree with everything Bo and Kyle have said; I am just emphasizing again that writing naturally is more important than using the original long tail keyword more than twice.

I also like how Loes handles her keywords - there is no interference with the training, but I like her personal twist: Best,

Yes that is the point I was making in the video. It has to be contextual, make sense, fit in and not be forced. Keyword stuffing does not work but not including your keyword does not work either. That is the same thing I speak of in the video Jewelia

Yes. Thank you, Bo.
In response to your discussion with Eric, I am also checking titles and Alt text on my images to see if I missed some places where I could actually use keywords naturally.

Thanks a lot!

Many thanks. You are certainly right - having your videos coming regularly certainly makes me work harder and faster and with more energy and enthusiasm. It's a bit like the difference between attending a course or teaching yourself. Getting homework from a course tutor that has to be in by next week always helps with consistency.
