So the first thing I want you to do is head over to Jaaxy.com "J" "a" "a" "x" "y" ".com" I'll also be providing the link below this video to jaaxy.com and what you're going to want to do is within the right hand side of the menu over here there's a free trial access. So this is going to get you access to thirty free searches using Jaaxy's tool. Umm, there are paid components of Jaaxy if you want to upgrade and as you move forward you're going to probably want to have a keyword tool like Jaaxy, um, to-to utilize for your campaign because keywords are going to be such a big aspect of your, your success within business and if you can have access to a tool that is going to be able to get you the right data and the right metrics to make your research, uh, far more efficient, then it's definitely worth your money because it's going to save you a lot of time and lead to a lot more success.
So, the first thing I want you to do is go and create a free trial access no credit cards required. You simply click this button, it's going to take you to this page and you simply fill out this information to create your account and you can see over here you'll get 30 searches and this will count down as you use your searches and if you want to upgrade at any time you can do that, but there is no obligation to do so. Uh, the thing is we're going to be using this tool for our keyword research within this tutorial, so for you to follow along it's a necessary step for you to fill out these details and get your free account.
So, I recommend you do that right now and when you come back I'm going to be getting more into the keyword research and showing you some data points of interest for, for getting ranked in Google and other search engines. So create this account and away we will go.
04:04 Finding Keywords in Jaaxy
So, here I am on my website, um, and what we are going to be doing here is researching keywords that are relevant to my website theme. So "how to lose belly fat" would be an obvious term, but also "how to lose inches around your waist", uh "how to lose fat" like there's a lot of search terms we could start with as our core term and then plug it into Jaaxy and we'll get a bunch of different results.
So, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take the term "how to lose belly fat" and you'll want to choose a term that is relevant to your niche. It could be anything, you can start with something very broad like "belly fat" as well. Um, the broader your search, the broader your results are typically going to be so the more targeted, uh, sometimes the better because the longer-tailed keywords you'll get the more relevant keywords you'll get.
So, I'm just going to do a search here and you might notice that your search results are a little different just because I do have an Enterprise Jaaxy account which is, uh, which is really awesome, but yeah, you'll have to click the QSR in order to find this sort of thing, uh, it's more instant if you do have a Pro or Enterprise account.
So, anyways from this data I-I there are two metrics I am looking for with an actual keyword. Um, the first metric is QSR. This is, this is your competition in Google, um, and you can't get at this data simply by doing a search in Google. The only way you can get at this data is from within Jaaxy and that is part of the reason it is so powerful.
Uh, the lower the QSR the better, um, ideally we're looking for a QSR of below 300. That's kind of the, the bench mark that we have found to be the best for getting results, uh, and rankings with Google but the closer to zero the better. If I organize this, which again is an enterprise feature, but you can go through this and pick out the keywords that make sense to you, but I can see this one has only 29 competing pages in all of Google. So, that's an awesome keyword, umm, but uh, this keyword "best ways lose belly fat" does not make sense it's missing the "to" in there.
So,that's another thing we want to make sure of when doing our research is that all of the keywords that we select, um, that we are trying to get ranked for, um, we need to make sure that they make sense. So, uh, I would take this keyword here and I would elaborate on it if I wanted to get more specific data, uh, and then the same for a couple of the other of these, uh, they're missing the "to", uh, and this is, uh, "how to lose your belly fat". That's a good one. One hundred ninety-nine, I'll definitely keep that one.
So you can check it off, save, select it to new, and I'm going to call it "lose belly fat". So let's save that keyword.
So I have one keyword already that meets my criteria. Again, you want under 300 and then you want over 50 searches. You can see these terms get a lot of searches, um, but uh, but yeah you just need some traffic, but the most important metric is that it has low competition because our goal is to get ranked. There is no point in trying to target a term with a ton of traffic that's, that's too competitive umm, so-so that's our goal.
Uhh, so "get rid of belly fat" that's another good one. So I'm going to save that one as well to this list. Save. And then, uh, I'm going to uh, I'm going to do exactly what I said. I'm going to do "best ways to lose belly fat" so I'm going to elaborate on that term and see the exact search data on the, on the actual keyword that makes sense.
So, I'm going to do another search here, and this just takes a second. It's going off and getting, uh, data from many different places and coalescing into one search result here and you can see "best ways to lose belly fat" has 201 QSR so that's another good term, umm, cause it's under the 300 mark. "Best ways to lose belly fat for women", only 148 competing pages, uh, "best..." so those two are good. I have four keywords already and what I'm going to do is I'm going to take another... a term from the left hand side related keywords.
So as you're doing research we pull related search terms from Jaaxy and put them over here, so it gives you actual, um, you gives you more keyword ideas. So, I'm going to select "best ways to lose belly" which is something, uh, something people are searching for in Google and I'm going to see if I can come up with anything else.
So you can go through this and, and spend some time coming up with a list of keywords. I recommend that you have five keywords, uh, bare minimum when you'res starting out. You don't need way more than that, that's fine when you're getting started.
So "best ways to lose belly" doesn't get a lot of search volume so I'm not going to bother with that one. Again I'm going to, uh, "the best way to lose beer belly" so I'm going to type that one in and see how many people are searching for that. This, and again this will just take a second.
So that gets, that only has six competing pages in Google. Um, I'm probably going to, uh, it only has 24 searches per month but I know for sure that I'm going to be able to get a decent ranking under that once my site gets indexed, as in I can get ranked on the first page no problem under that search term. So, I'm going to keep that search term and I'm likely going to write that one out because it's going to lead to rankings almost immediately within Google and uh, you know, I like always like the sound of that.
10:48
So, "best way..." so there's a lot of keywords here. I'm not going to uh, I'm not going to be in here for hours and you know bore you with a ton of keyword research but I just wanted to get you the idea of how to get keywords and which data you're looking for. Again, it has to make sense you want over 50 monthly searches, sometimes it's ok if it has any monthly searches at all because it's, traffic is traffic in my opinion, and you want it to have under 300 QSR.
So, that's the criteria for your research and now what I'm going to do is I'm going to give you another way to, to uh, find keywords um-and that you can then put into Jaaxy.
11:32 Using Google, Alphabet Soup
So, there's actually an excellent research technique you can use in Google that's called "The Alphabet Soup Technique", umm, and I do have a tutorial within Wealthy Affiliate about this can definitely help you out. So I'm not going to elaborate too much, I'm also going to provide you with a link to the alphabet soup technique, uh, underneath this tutorial because I do have an entire video dedicated to how to do it. But I just quickly want to give you an idea and then I can show you how to bring these keywords over to Jaaxy, um, to elaborate on your research.
So, as you type into Google they give you a lot of ideas, uh, and these are called Google Instant Ideas and what they do is, uh, basically they elaborate on search terms and, and help you come up with ideas for your search. This is, this is intended to help the person searching in Google to come up with what they are looking for more efficiently, but as a researcher this helps us immensely because it gives us ideas that we probably wouldn't have otherwise.
So, I typed in "how to lose belly fat" and I have "how to lose belly fat fast", ..."for men"...um, "for" and then you can see if I type in another word it goes "for men"..."for men fast"...and "kids" and then I can do another thing "how to lose belly", umm, I'm just going to... type in "belly fat" here to give you an idea. So then there's "belly fat diet", "belly fat cure", so "belly fat diet plans" "belly fat foods", "belly fat diet for dummies"...
So, if I type in "plan" now "belly fat diet plan for women", belly fat diet plan recipes"... So, you can see how quickly we can elaborate on this research and I'm going to take one of these keywords that I find and you can do that with any of the keywords that you come up with, like I can type in "stomach fat", um, and then I could get the same thing. And that's definitely highly relevant to my niche, so "stomach fat exercises", umm, "for women at home", like there's a ton of things that people are typing into Google and you need to remember there's two billion people online and all the time and there's like, honestly there's millions and millions of keywords that are untapped out there. So, never feel that a niche is too competitive because we can use techniques like this along with Jaaxy and uncover brand new niches all the time.
So, anyways I'm going to take that one keyword I found "best...", uh, sorry, "belly fat diet plan for women". I'm going to type that into Jaaxy and I'm going to do another search and I'm going to see what we can come up with here.
So that doesn't get a lot of traffic, um, which is fine. I probably won't use this search term but that was just one of the terms I use in here. Umm, I could take "stomach fat exercises" and, and do the same with the research there. I've also come up with a lot of other search terms "best diet lose belly fat", uh "best diet belly fat", belly fat diet plan for women, umm, oh yeah that's the term I came up with, but...
So, and you'll notice that the term you search for in Jaaxy, the exact term will always be highlighted in a row of yellow. So that's the quick and easy way to find the exact term you have searched for. But, uh, and then I can type in "stomach fat exercises" and I can elaborate in this niche. Like the niche I've chosen is pretty, uh, pretty targeted but there's still, like, there's still a ton of different keywords I can use and the more I research it, the more I would find that out.
So, umm, "stomach fat exercises" only has 145 QSR, 262 monthly searches so I definitely, um, add that to my list, "flat stomach exercises" add that, uh, "exercises lose belly fat" 131..
So, you know I could go through this and add a ton more keywords, but I think I'm good for now and then, ummm, in the next step we are going to be focusing more on the actual content and I'm going to be showing you actually how to take a keyword and, and get rankings in Google, uh, from that particular keyword by creating content.
So, that's the, that's the premise of SEO is having your keyword understanding in place and once you understand keywords and once you understand the process of creating content you can literally get, um, ranked under thousands and thousands of keywords on your website which will lead to a full time business and that's, I know that's what we're all looking for here, um, and this can be done within absolutely every niche. So, it's pretty exciting stuff.
Before I leave you today, I just want to mention, uh, I just want to mention the different versions of Jaaxy Enterprise if you're interested, um, just because I know you have the free trial account I just want to, uh, mention, uh,that there are different options and I just want to quickly show you those.
17:02
The Jaaxy Membership & WA Keyword Tool
So when you're here within your account, your Jaaxy account, you'll see an "Upgrade today and save" button and this will allow you to, um, upgrade your membership if you do want to and it's going to outline the different levels. I'm currently using enterprise which is $49 a month or $499 per year, um, and a lot of people use the Pro and are very, very happy with that and that's only $19 a month, umm, or $199 per year.
So, umm, you can, you can click that button up in the top right and get access to, umm, the different levels and then you can decide if one works for you. But, uh, you are fine on the free account.
I just also want to show you within Wealthy Affiliate here, I'm going to take you over...and as a premium member you also have access to a pretty awesome keyword tool, um, within Wealthy Affiliate and I'll just do a quick search here.
So you have unlim-, as a premium member you have unlimited access to the keyword research tool at Wealthy Affiliate, umm, so you can use this as well if you're a Premium Wealthy Affiliate member, umm, Jaaxy's just a bit more of a keyword research suite, umm, as you can see there's different tools. Like you can find your site rank, you can find what your competition's doing, uh, you can analyze the search results, you can find affiliate programs, you can brainstorm based on what's going on, um, it has an affiliate program, you can manage keyword lists, search history, to-do list, like there's a lot that can be done within Jaaxy it's not just a keyword tool, but you do get access to an excellent keyword research tool within Wealthy Affiliate, umm, if you are an unlimited premium member you get unlimited access to that as well.
A lot of people have both, uh, but again that's completely up to you. I just wanted to mention that there are different levels of the Jaaxy membership as well as a keyword tool that is included within your premium membership at Wealthy Affiliate.
So, anyways I hope that this has helped clarify keyword research for you and I hope it's added some clarity as to the process of getting SEO rankings because remember SEO begins with the keyword, um, and then you're going to create content around that keyword, and then Google is going to index you and you have a better chance if you understand the different competition metrics including QSR, the monthly searches, and the actual keyword has to make sense.
So, if you have any questions about keyword research I would be more than happy to help you out, umm, I have 10 years of experience doing it, so you know throw anything at me that you don't understand about what I've discussed within this tutorial or questions about your specific campaigns and I'll be more than happy to help you out. Thanks again.
