Finding a Niche
New members soon learn that a niche is related to a keyword. Well, there is the chicken and the egg. If you were going to start a business in your home town, how would you go about it? Well, you would go to the Chamber of Commerce and the local university or college and to state and possible federal agencies and gather as much information as possible about local business conditions. After much work and attending free courses given to new business start-ups, you would prepare a business plan for your new business.
In that plan, there would be a lot of YOU. You wouldn't start a machine shop if you were not a machinist or somehow knew something about that business. You know that the bank would not loan you one dime to get started if you were not able to run such a business. What I'm trying to say that a good nice for you is one you have a passion about and know something about.
When I look at the first activities of new member, I see them pursuing such interest. I think that is great and a good way to start. One man liked to juggle. He pursued that, got sources for juggling stuff and opened up an online store. Could you do something like that? I know a couple in the Midwest who have a small business selling doll parts. They decided to go online and they increased their profits dramatically. Two of my granddaughters were taught to knit and crochet by my wife when they were four or five years old. They are earning money by making products for babies. I started a website for them to teach their skills. We put Amazon products on the site to help them make more money.
So, now you know what a niche is. It's sorta like those kiosk you see in the local mall. You are headed for Pennies or Sears and you bump into a kiosk and buy a case for your I-pod. In the mall, you are kissing a broad market that includes niche buyers. On the Internet, you walk into a multitude of searchers often looking for something in particular like a set of juggling clubs or a pair of tiny shoes for a doll. Which brings us to Keywords. They are very important so use the tools available and read the tutorials. I use JAAXY developed by some of the geniuses we know here.
I spent a lot of time on this but it is the most important thing you will do. It is easy to find products once you have found that niche. I use CJ, ClickBank, Amazon and such.
Next some special help needs.

I would like to see listings arranged in categories of what is available in the Training Centre. At the moment, all I seem to get is a search box with the question "What are you looking for?" plus links to one or two items. However, I do not always have a specific question. It may be that there is useful information that would really help me, but if I do not know it is there, I cannot search for it.

I'd like a little information on how to add my affiliate links to my pages. I have click bank in mind for my first page and 2 independents for my second. I'm also getting pages going on thr top and sides of my site, would it be better to put them in as posts instead? One did go there, how would I put my page on digestive enzymes to a post if that is the way to go? Could you look at my site and see what you think. It's ibsisapaininthegut.com thanks Linda
