Click the Save Changes button when finished and select the next tab, Products.

You can leave everything at the defaults here, unless you need to change the measurement units to suit your target market.

Click the Save Changes button and move to the next tab, Tax.

How you fill in this tab depends very much on your target market. Customers in the US are used to seeing prices ex-tax, with Federal and State taxes added at checkout. Customers in other jurisdictions (particularly those that use a simple VAT or GST) expect the price to include tax, with no extra tax surprises at checkout.

So complete this section according to your target market.

You may have to add additional tax classes later.

When complete (at least for the time being) click the Save Changes button and move on to the next tab, Shipping.

Thanks Phil for the training in the installation of Woo Commerce.
I have bogged down however. I am stuck at the place that asks for my social secutity number. They are telling me that there is a mismatch somewhere. I have been told by them that I have to submit to the social security administraton for the exact way that my social security number is displayed by them, and I have to wait about two weeks for a response.

My question, is there some way to communicate with the social security admnisteration that will bypass the two week wait?

Cheers and blessings
Eddie

No one can answer that; it is a piece of software you are using that could be faulty vs. a department.

Sorry, Eddie, but I'm not American so have no idea how your social security number works.

I am always careful with installing plugins because sometimes it shows an error when I want to log in to my back office.

I installed Smush and got a Bad Request Error when trying to log in to my back office.

I like to use Smush, but I am reluctant to install it again because of the Error described above.

Any Idea why that is?

If this issue is still ongoing, reach out to site support.

Wow, we seem to want training on installing plugins. Don't you think? - For most plugins, go to the Plugins tab of your WordPress site's back office, input what you are looking for, and make sure they are compatible with the theme, install, and activate.

Furthermore, when plugins are clean-coded, there would be no issues. However, I think in your case scenario, you may have had a conflict with another plugin already installed on your website.

It's worth it if you want to build an e-commerce website, but a lot more work to get it up and running than affiliate marketing.
