Let's Install The Autoptimize Plugin

Making sure that you have backed up your website and updated your plugins, from your Dashboard in WordPress, scroll down to Plugins.

1/ Hover over Plugins and then click on Add New.

2/ On the top right is a Search Bar, click on the empty field and type in: Autoptimize.

4/ Once it has installed, you need to click on the Activate button at the bottom of the text that appears.

5/Wait for the installation to process through WordPress.

6/ Now go back to the first PageSpeed type in the URL of your website like you did the first time.Click on the blue Analyze button and then compare the results from your first PageSpeed results for Google Developers PageSpeed.

7/ Now do the same for GTMetrix and compare results from the first time.

8/ Lastly, do this for Varvy PageSpeed and compare results from the first time.

For each of these, I've inserted my 'After' Results to compare with 'Before' Results. As you can see Google Developers PageSpeed is much lower than the others, but the others prove that one PageSpeed performance check is not enough. That's why we did 3 of them.

You can do this exercise for the Script To Footer Plugin if you think it's necessary. Compare results and if it does, leave it installed.

I would urge you though, do a few more PageSpeed tests throughout the day and then through the week. At the end of the week, make your assessments and see if your site is loading faster or if these plugins are slowing it down.

If the plugins are slowing your site down, then you need to uninstall them and perform your own research.
