Snagit?

I thought this was a funny name at first. It makes me think of fishing or better yet Austin Powers Baby. Of course the latter would be shagit not snagit.

The Snagit I'm going to talk about here is used to capture screenshots. I use this often and it works very well but has limited advanced tools. There is a pay version with more tools but the free version works fine for me so far.

Above is a screenshot I took with Snagit of a Google search I did for Snagit.

More Details

I downloaded the free version for a Chromebook that I use frequently. It is very easy and self explanatory to use.

I downloaded a 15 day trial version for my Windows desktop as I did not find a free version other than the Google Chrome version.

The Snagit Toolbar

Using Google Chrome and clicking on the Snagit app provides the above toolbar to the right of your screen. Again this is a very easy to use tool that gives more options than just taking a screenshot with your computer.

Snagit is another great tool to have in your toolbox.

I have used Snagit in the past and I love it. Haven't tried the others but I will.

I think you missed a great one that is shipped with Windows 10. It sits at the top of your screen and is always ready for use. It's called snip editor and works like a dream.

Thanks for a great post; so many different techniques to make screen shots. I've another you might like to try; it is free as well. It's called Jing? Have you heard of this one? I believe it's free; I've never paid for it anyway. So give it a try because it is fairly easy and I get great screen shots all the time when using it.
