Another Screenshot Tool - Lightshot

This is a cool tool for your toolbox too. It provides you with a little more control over your screenshots as well as social sharing and also comes as a free app.

Here's a screenshot I captured with Snagit or what the Lightshot tool looks like in action.

You can see the Lightshot tool bar along the lower right side and right bottom of the screenshot.

Again it's a simple download and here is a screen shot of my Google search for it. Can you tell I've been screenshot happy today. :-)

As with Snagit, Lightshot is available for several operating systems.

I have used Snagit in the past and I love it. Haven't tried the others but I will.

I think you missed a great one that is shipped with Windows 10. It sits at the top of your screen and is always ready for use. It's called snip editor and works like a dream.

Thanks for a great post; so many different techniques to make screen shots. I've another you might like to try; it is free as well. It's called Jing? Have you heard of this one? I believe it's free; I've never paid for it anyway. So give it a try because it is fairly easy and I get great screen shots all the time when using it.
