Did SumoMe go out of business?

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that their SumoMe plugin isn't working?

I even visited their website and there is nothing to be found!

I can log onto their website. I can also work in one of my sites with SumoMe but not with a second site. Interesting, but I don't think they went out of business.

But this is sort of funny (dry wit and all ... ) ... can you imagine what it must be like at the SumoMe headquarters right now? All day long for that matter? Bunch of genius IT folks ... no one can figure why the heck their site is behaving badly. Like chickens with their heads cut off. LOL

Interesting, I can get to their site via Bell or Telus networks on my phones but not Shaw or the phones via WiFI.

They recently changed their pricing and the functionality of their free level. I've heard you cannot connect to a third party email service without a paid plan now. Here is some of the unhappy customer chatter about the deal over at AppSumo site.

I moved to Thrive themes and ConvertKit some time ago for our site(s) which has been great. Let me know if you are interested in more info about either.

I don't know. I still get charged $25 a month even after cancelling last month. I've tried leaving them a message but no reply.

Since they won't reply nor will they cancel my pro subscription which is no different from the free version, I now have to close out my entire bank account in order for them not to charge my card again.

I tried their Pro version and cancelled prior to being charged and it went smoothly.

I would be interested to know how they rectify your situation, please let us know my Friend.

cant the bank just cancel the card or cancel the debit approval for the card...they can here in ireland (i have had to do it in the past) .

nightmare if you have to close the account and start again :-) i feel for you :-) hope you get sorted hun

I'm just going to cancel my card and have another one issued to me next week. I couldn't do it last month or this month until all my other accounts are paid before I destroy this card.

I don't want SumoMe. I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to be a professional blogger and I don't trust any of these plugins that claim to "Do All".

SumoMe could be a very good plugin or service but right now, they seem to not being able to handle it professionally.

Closing out is the same for me as cancelling out the card. Because the bank can't cancel the payment on their end. I have to resolve it on my own by contacting SumoMe.

But SomoMe did not cancel my subscription and they had not replied. And there's no way to contact them without re-installing the plugin...and I'm not going to install that DANG plugin again.

I've been trying for about two weeks to contact them and this is after I've paid $100s of dollars for their services--so, the bank and I are waiting for my last payment and then we're going to do a switch-a-roo onto a new card.

Somethings odd. It's not working for me either.

100% good Tony but I will tell you sometimes I find that sumo does dissapper and I have to find the little blue logo on the screen and click to open it and then have to enter password again and thus has happen three times over the past two months

Just tested it on my site and it seems to be working fine.

What part of SumoMe did you test and it works?

I can't even get to their website.

I went to my website and shared a post and also shared an image on Twitter and it worked fine.

I also checked the backend in WP and it does look a little different but I am able to still setup popups in the list building option and see the other features I use.

What problems are you seeing?

I no longer have the Social share buttons, no email subscribe bar and can't even get on their SumoMe.com website - Does the website work for you Kim?

That is strange. The website seems to be working fine. I attached a screenshot here.

Have you checked your plugins to see if it has been deactivated for some reason? I'm sure you have.

Wow. I don't know what else to do. Have you tried a different browser? I have looked all over the website for a phone number and can't find one.

I installed today SumoMe for a new site, after many tries I deactivated it and leave this for another day. Now after you wrote this I realize it was not working!

Interesting - I was thinking of signing up with them, so I'd love to know!
