4 months and still little to no traffic
I am aproaching 4 months and still have no consistant traffic. I have 48 unique viewers amd a little under 100 views (mostly from myself). What am I doing wrong? I have 35 posts/pages and a few more pretty much done. I am almost done with the 4 courses. I am on course 4 lesson 7. I am actually writing this blog for the lesson.
If anyone could help me out and let me know what i am doing wrong, that would be great. my site is moneyflowfromhome.com. Thanks to everyone who read this!

Hi, your web site looks really professional and has great content...so that's a great start. I would say that your site's title is a little unappealing...so to your presentation. Remember that people are very visual by nature...Perhaps use more colorful images at different sides of your pages...with your text continuing down the sides of the images...so that they seem relevant...and not just random. They were my initial thoughts...I wish you every success on your WA journey. On the whole...great job though!
Alright thanks, but every time i put an image to the left side, no words appear to the right of the picture. They all get pushed down

Trevor, I've had that happen too. You can either, -A- try to put the cursor along the top edge of the image and keep hitting "delete" until the text from below reaches as high as it can go, OR ... -B- enter ALL your text first, THEN, go to place your images. If you choose this method, (and place your images either to the right or left side of the page) chances are your text will automatically wrap around the image.
My pictures completely make my text go down the page, like no text is on the sides of my pictures for some reason?
I have always put my images in last, now it is screwed up on all my pictures on my whole website!! I am stressing out. I have been on all day and I feel like I have achieved very little. I really do appriciate everyone's helpful comments.
That's really annoying!! I understand your frustration. That would make me buggy too! Those methods have usually worked for me...I can't imagine why the formatting is behaving like that. Sorry.
You've already had some feed back. You certainly have an issue with a lot of generic keywords - so you need to do something about it.
Other points I would make that will affect your bounce rate (the time people spend on your site), is the poor quality of your images. Too small, badly placed and variable quality. People look at headlines, subheadings, images and captions and keywords before they read your text. You need to address this.
Also - make sure that you give accurate information - people outside the US can earn money on Mturk - Indian workers for instance can get paid in rupees. Others get paid but it appears in gift certfiicates - so it's not true to say as you have done that it's just for US citizens. It's important to get facts like this correct or you will lack credibility.

Thanks. I know i need to fix my images. I got that feedback from someone else too. How do i get better at keyword research though?
Also when I was on Mturk last they did say they were no longer accepted workers outside of the US

Keyword research - Stop being so generic. Example. Your post "Online Cash Back" - could be about almost anything. Your whole blog post is about Ebates. Well I went to Jaaxy and put Ebates in:
You can use low hanging keywords - " Ebates Cash Back"
128 (monthly searches) 22 (estimated traffic) 269 (quoted search results) 82 (SEO Power) - This is a good one to use. You would then use that in a title eg "Boost your weekly income with Ebates Cash Back"
Or if you could tweak your article and write about "Ebates Daily Double:
1078 (monthly searches) 184 (estimated traffic) 112 (quoted search)
92 (SEO Power)
Even better! Title something like " Can you make money with Ebates Daily Double" or "Take advantage of Ebastes Daily Doubles" or "Three ways you can make money with Ebates Daily Doubles"
By the way all these suggestion could be complete rubbish - I know nothing about the topic - I just wanted to show you, how you can better utilise keywords!

hello i noticed your not ranked for any keywords on google im no expert but try and rank for specific keyword phrases once you get ist page on google for certain keywords you will get more traffic

Hey- I checked out your site and while it looks good, here are my suggestions...
Be patient. Most folks start to see their traffic pick up right after the 4 month mark when they are ready to give up.
I pulled up the keywords your site is being ranked for and they are pretty generic. Go back to the keyword tool and find some good specific keywords.
Go back to the SEO All In One Tool and see what is in the "keyword" section. There really shouldn't be anything because this plug in will take care of it but I have a feeling that you have something in there. Reason is because your html says:
<meta name="keywords" content="How to get a little extra income" />
You've done an amazing job on content! That is awesome considering you are only in your 4th month.
You are on the right track... keep going and you will wake up one morning shocked at how small tweaks can make all the difference!

If you installed the "All In One" plug in that Kyle suggests in the training then do this: click on build my website, you will see "All In One" at the top of the left column- click on it. Scroll where you entered site name, description, and keywords. This is the info your index page pulls from. Your site name and title should be the same. Description is what folks see when they "google", and the keywords section should be blank. Some folks opt to add a max of 3 keywords in there but you really don't need to, the plug in will fill this in for you.
Trevor, Just browsed around your site a little and I took notice that there were very few to no comments on your posts or social shares. Each time you publish a post you should share it on a comment sharing thread here at WA and also share it socially as well. I would also put your categories in your widget area as that will help too.

When you create a new post, there are several threads here at WA (Listed at the end of the above training) that you should share the post within. There people will leave you some comments and your post and you can also comment on their works. It helps get the ball rolling.

Hi Trevor. Your website is quite visually appealing, although the one post I read...about making money with YouTube videos, doesn't explain HOW to make the money! There's a link way down at the bottom to click, if we have questions...but I'm afraid many readers won't make it that far. The 'meat' of your article should be explaining the whole process. If it's through advertising on YT, or monetizing the videos with their ad streams, then that's what your post should be focused on. I have YT videos that have been viewed thousands of times...many are monetized, but I've never made a cent from them.
Also, in the YT post, you mention a girl who has makeup videos. I didn't know what you were talking about at first, because the sentence reads; "I actually remember seeing a girl on the news who did make up videos." Makeup is one word, so when you wrote make up it took on a different meaning.

You're welcome. Yes, that part of the post will make more sense because make 'and' up is like saying..."okay, I'll make up a riddle for you". Meanwhile, "applying some makeup to your cheeks will hide those blemishes". It's two entirely different meanings.
No, as far as I know, YT has never paid me a penny for any of my videos. Maybe I should check to see if they even have my PayPal address!
It is worth a shot because I thought you got paid by the view. Groups like smosh make a living (or a great chunk of money) off of YouTube
