I think that you have a winner with that as a niche website. Kyle always said to pick something that you are passionate about. I think if it was me doing it, I would do one website focusing on lawn care. Then just keep writing, about the tools needed, (mowers, trimmers, blowers, and even give some advice about underground watering systems). You have had experience with lawn care so that would be a great way to get people on an email list.

I don't have any experience with this niche, but i think its a great idea. I can definitely see a community type page on your site, that allows people to ask questions and get them answered in a specialized community.

I like the idea of starting off by focusing on one aspect of lawn care like lawn mowers and then covering other aspects of lawn care as the blog grows.

Are you targeting consumers that take care of their own lawns. OR commercial lawn care companies that take care of other peoples (residential /commercial) lawns?
Or both?
I’m assuming you’re talking about homeowners that have a passion and pride for their lawns.

I am no expert, but my suggestion would be to go with the broad topic of lawn care for homeowners.
As you review the various products, such as lawnmowers, tillers, weed whips, fertilizers, etc. you will then hone in on the products and areas of interest that are most popular.

I think it's a great idea and that your knowledge and passion will shine through.
If it were my site, I would go wide, covering all things lawn-related, rather than deep on just one aspect. To me, people looking for guidance on improving their lawns are looking for all aspects of lawn care, not just one small part. There are so many products you can promote for this vertical!
