I Do Things Slowly and Mindfully
I have been back teaching for over 2 weeks. One morning, I was having breakfast at the staff canteen when the School Manager happened to see me and sat down to have a chat with me.
It was a pleasant conversation. At one point, he mentioned that other teachers were concerned about me. They noticed that I now do things slowly. They thought it was because after my successful battle with cancer, my body was weak.
I smiled gently and said to my manager that after my brush with death, I have since learned to go slow. To do things slowly and carefully. And to be mindful of every action and moment.
A light appeared in the manager's eyes. He smiled and nodded. He agreed with me.
And guess what? After that chat, I noticed some of the other teachers starting to do things slowly. 😊
Are you doing things slowly and mindfully?

Some great advice. When I was working in the corporate world, I did everything with speed because I felt I had to. It was expected of me. When I had my accident, I had to slow down. It was quite eye-opening because I discovered that the speed was unnecessary. I am much happier since I slowed down. Thanks for sharing your journey.

Thanks for sharing too, Nancy.
You are right. Speed is unnecessary.
I too have found myself more peaceful and happier now that I have slowed down.

Thanks for sharing. I do things slowly without even having to think about it! I walk slowly. I eat slowly. I write slowly. I have almost always done things on the slower side because I don't want to have to do things over!
Thanks again for sharing.

You're welcome, Karin.
You are doing things mindfully. And that is a beautiful way to live life.
Do you find yourself more aware of the world around you? Any insights?
Tim
I do notice that I might notice things that others do not see because I take my time. But not always. Sometimes I am so focused on what I am doing I don't notice much around me.
Take care!

I definitely am working slowly and mindfully. It’s been about 5 weeks here with the WA program. I have a website and near 8 posts. I am now working on isolating the products I’m wanting to promote within the posts. I do want more but learning and finding my system that works.
Thank you Timotheus for your intuitive article.
You're welcome, Rick.
