Persevering

Hi all. Back again. Had to step away for a while and, like so many others of you, deal with daily life issues. Specifically, I've been busy packing our belongings to go into storage and trying to coordinate movers. We are going to rent out our condo and get closer to work opportunities. We aren't in a position where we can afford to not have us both working full-time positions while we build this business. Unfortunately, that will delay our success here, as you can see, because of time constraints.

Nevertheless, Wealthy Affiliate is our hope for being able to support ourselves when we're supposed to be retired. Actually, being retired has never appealed to either one of us. That would be incredibly dull, even if we had the resources to "jet-set" around the world or conquer golf courses, that's just not our style. That said, it would be nice to park an RV next to the beach and write blogs encouraging and teaching others how to free themselves from the rat race.

Step-by-step, we will get there because we must. It's in our natures to be in business for ourselves. It's just who we are, and I believe it's true for so many others...that entrepreneurial drive, determining one's own lifestyle, applying their gifts and reaping a satisfying living.

We just need to remember, as a Wealthy Affiliate community, these words from a wise, Canadian lodgemaster, "Keep your stick on the ice. I'm pullin' for you."

All the best,

Leslie

Whatever goals we have we need to persevere to achieve them, and enjoy your venture.

I'm sure it will all turn out with your great "never give up" attitude.

Remember, "stepping away" is not "stepping out"! It's just a "comma" on the road of life.

My best,

Laurel

Love that. Had forgotten that phrase. Thank you for the reminder!

Thanks for sharing Leslie!!!

Great post and thank you for sharing and I hope that your dreams come true and best wish for your business and moving.

Hello Leslie, thank you for sharing and I hope all works out for you.

It's funny because my husband and I were just talking about something similar yesterday. He's frustrated with work but has to work due to our current financial situation, and I am no longer able to work a FT job due to health reasons. We would love to be able to travel and do whatever we want without being tied down to a traditional job, but of course, achieving success takes time. Some have more time to dedicate to their goals, while others may have less. In the end, we all have the same goals, it just sometimes takes a different path to get there.

I wish you much success with your moving experience. In time, things will be back to normal.
