We obviously want as much traffic to come to our sites as possible. Do you guys think that a lead generation tool is a good option for this? I ask, because I have one that I am

Hi Tom
Sorry, I'm going to give you the obvious answer ... test them and see. In your shoes I would probably take 10$ worth which should deliver 1000 leads and test to see what happens. Of course testing is full of variables unless you have a proven set of emails in place already.
:-)
Richard

Thanks Richard, That is pretty much what I did. I started a couple weeks ago and the way it works is you get 100 leads per day for 30 days for $30. And (of course) there is an affiliate program with it that allows you to double it to 200 leads per day if you invite 1 person. (I am not trying to get referrals and that is not why I chose to do it, but it will be a nice bonus if it happens) So, by the end of the month, I will have at least 3000 leads.

This is traffic that I own and I can download the list with all the regulatory required information to be uploaded into my autoresponder and use as I see fit if I decide to only do 1 month worth.

I am tracking the open rate, the click through rate, and the conversion rate. Like I said to Catherine though, for me, if I help just one out of those 3000 leads, it was $30 well spent! I am using it to help build my "Tribe", not as my only lead source. :)

Thanks for the advice and the response!

It seems you’re doing the best things already. Testing 3000 should tell you the way to go. I hope it works out.

I haven't used them, Tom! It will be interesting to see what answers you get!

Hey I am Lula.
Can I learn from your experience if you do not mind?
Wishing you a terrific day.

Hi Lula! Of course you can learn from my experience! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!

I would say no they may have given you permission but they are not your tribe they wont convert What you should do is build your own list and start when you have a hundred people a day coming to your site which makes it worth while paying for an autoresponder

This question was of interest to me. Thanks for your answer it really put things in perspective. The end game really is to have them convert in which case you want to grow your "tribe" as you said.

Thanks @TheCatherine that was part of my concern as well, but what I am finding is that this list that I am building with the lead generation is becoming my "tribe". All of these leads have expressed interest in making more money online, which is my niche. So, as they are viewing my sites, they are getting to know, like, and trust me, which is improving the conversions.

To be fair Tom that's the only way to go

Do you buy traffic or leads? If a specific action gives you a positive return on investment, it is ok to keep doing it. But you need to track it and make sure you don't lose money.

From my experience, lead generation tools help you when you get targeted traffic. So, I start with content and organic traffic first.

Thanks Bonzo!
