What did I do wrong? None of my other posts were marked as spam. Does this mean that my site will not rank or just that post? Now, I am afraid to post to Google Plus because

If you have an affiliate link attached to the image that is being shared with that post than you get marked as spam. however, it shouldn't hurt it's ability to rank.

It could also be the community that you are sharing it in...

There are always a few A-Holes that will flag it as spam and report it to google. or it could be in violation of community guidelines.

Thank you! I changed it up a little. I got the banner from WA. Where do we use those if not on a post?

you can use it anywhere on your site you want but if you are sharing it than make sure you don't use it as a featured image of the post being shared.

Or at least make sure you don't have an affiliate link attached to it in the post that it is the featured image of.

It will result in the violation of quite a few different social platforms spam policies.

I hope that comes across the same way that it did as I was saying it in my head. If not pm me the link to the post on your site that you got flagged over and include image in the share and where in G+ you shared it. (ie public, your business page, or g
+ Community)
Or take a screenshot of how it looked when you shared it. ** Don't Post It To Google -Cancel the share after you screenshot it**

Hope it helped.

yes, thank you all for your help. This is the post.

Probably because it has "wealthy affiliate" G+ flagged it as spam. My guess is that a while ago way too many people posted there from WA and now it doesn't accept it. Or just the word "affiliate".

Try a different post on G+ and I am sure it'll go through.

P.S. Constructive feedback... It's best not use the year in URL (changing the url every year might mess up with your rankings). It's best to use the year in the Title but keep url as "wealthy-affiliate-university-review"

Thank you so much for your help!

This post is also under 1k words if that has anything to do with it? I will change the url also. Can't I have links to the WA training? Maybe I should change the links to shorten them with the Google URL shortener?

What phase of the training are you on? I am only on Phase 3 and I am very determined to make my dream of being a successful Internet Entrepreneur a reality. :)

Thank you again for helping me!!

Nope, I highly doubt G+ cares about your article word length :)

But for SEO purposes, it's highly recommended that you aim for 1000+ words (or 2500+ words for "best of" posts).

As far as I know, cloaking the links using shorteners won't work especially with Google's URL shortener (after all it's one company and Google is smart these days).

If you really want to focus on social media, try Pinterest instead. Google+ will cease to exist very soon, so it's best to direct your energy to another social media platform.

I finished the main training a while ago (haven't finished WA bootcamp though), I decided to focus on Amazon niche sites for now.

Honestly, this community is amazing to help you achieve your dreams :) It took me a while to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it's my fault, I've been slacking off a lot in the first 2 years lol.

Glad to see you active here, learning, implementing the strategies and asking questions! I see a lot of people struggle because they are afraid to ask questions.

Feel free to reach out to me if you have any more questions Alisha :)

Google Plus is going away? After my recent experience, that is great news! Thank you for the compliments. I am doing my best at this. I work full time as well right now. I do want to put in the effort it takes to live my dreams and do Internet Marketing full time one day though. I need more freedom! :)

You are so helpful. I will definitely contact you again when I need more help. Thank you!!

Yep! There was some sort of breach recently + it's not as popular and they decided to get rid of it. Too bad though, a lot of marketers were using it for SEO purposes.

From my experience, it took me 12 months to achieve 4 figures (which is this month) on 1 site only, and I wasn't even working on it as crazy as others do (lots of energy going towards recovery after orthopaedic surgery).

Occasionally I share blog posts with updates on my Amazon site, so you can read those (under my profile page).

Anyway, I am always around and glad to be of help, Alisha!

Good luck :)

Thanks again. I will keep you in my prayers as well on your healing and recovery. :)

Thank you sweetie :)

If you used WA posts, then they will be marked as spam. If it's your own blog, we need more info (context).

I think sometimes if you have the word "affiliate" in site's URL it might be marked as spam but it's just a guess, don't take my word for it.

Did you post something that is not part of your niche?

Without context I we can't really help you. Can you paste the URL to the post in question?

Do I use Fetch As Google every time I add a new page? Do I also click Request Indexing?

Do I need to do anything else to my Site Map on Google after it is initially subm

Just submit sitemap. You do not have to use the fetch tool at all but it does help speed up the process of letting Google know that you have new content to rank.

Whether or not they rank your content is strictly up to them.

Jason

No you don't have to Fetch As Google every time.
If your site has been indexed and ranked you don't have to re-submit your sitemap.

None of my WA websites are working?

I have been having breaks in the past 6-7 days.

Can you see and enter your site in Google or is it only WA login issue? In my case the site was always down in Google in the same time when I could not log in through WA.

Alisha it appears there is a problem on one of the WA servers it should be up soon. You might want to contact site support
