When I use the Keyword Tool and check the competition, it gives me the results for the local google , not .com. Can I trust that number? I've tried to switch it to google.com, b
I think it is a rough number and for sure the information is not as accurate as the Jaaxy results... but I also use the WA Keyword Tool.
If you get the results.. go down the the bottom and click the first page of the results and you will see a more realistic figure for that particular keyword.
As far as it being local and .com I have to admit I am not sure on that.. but hope i helped you a little.

Is competition number in keyword tool correct in not .com?

Can I trust the number? I personally would just use it as a rough number.
With the WA tool, it simply opens a tab in your browser and performs a custom search to reach the last page of the results.
These numbers are going to vary depending on your location and if you're signed into Google etc.
I'm located in Canada and performed the following tests in incognito mode apart from the WA tool tests:
"wealthy affiliate review" google.com QSR = 325
"wealthy affiliate review" google.ca QSR = 334
"wealthy affiliate review" google.ca (WA Tool signed in) QSR = 342
"dog boarding" google.com QSR = 340
"dog boarding" google.ca QSR = 396
"dog boarding" google.ca (WA Tool signed in) QSR = 439
Needless to say the numbers will change from google.ca and google.com etc because some sites only target selected countries.
If you want to check QSR manually and use Google.com, I would recommend you do this in incognito mode or turn personalized results off.
enter Google.com it will redirect you, but then in the lower right corner you should see "Use Google.com" link.
Thank you so much for the information! Sorry, it took so long to reply.
Canada and USA are pretty close, but for European countries the numbers are very different.
Yes, I do what you said. Go all the way to the bottom of the page and click on Google.com, after that the keywords have to be submitted again.
Thank you once again! All the best to you!
