Do you have a name?

I love it, when new people connect with me here on WA. All sorts of people, all sorts of lives. Fantastic. I read the bios and it's like "what a nice person!" - when the bio says something more than the name I mean :)

But then... there are those profiles where there's no name on the top. Nor in the middle. Forget the signature at the bottom.

So I scroll down in the personal messages, looking for a message with signature. Sometimes I find it. Sometimes I don't, but there are WA members who've investigated before me so they call the unnamed with his/her name (by the way, it seems to be mostly a male thing).

Why do I bother, you may ask. Well, it's nicer, more personal and friendly. Even supercomputers in old movies used to have a name!

So, this is my heartfelt appeal:

PLEASE TELL US YOUR NAME!!

Tell us your real name, write a pen name, use your favorite pet's name, whatever really, just give us a name!! :-)

Sincerely yours,

Alma

Hi Alma, I am in agreement with you. Irv.

I totally agree Alma. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing, Alma.

Nice one, and agree. thanks, Mike

I think some people like an anon. persona. You might be lucky to get one initial like T. The advent of voice mail telephonically encourages this sort of less open habit!

I agree with you Alma. I like to use a person's name and would be grateful if their name was easily available. It is time consuming searching for names when it should not be that way!

I like a name because I like to use it in replies sometimes.

Profiles with a name are a joy!
