Month 1 of SAC, Month 3 at WA
Hi everyone! I'm working hard on the SAC tasks and happy to report my progress. My goal is to motivate and encourage anyone who might be struggling. I also want to document my progress and maybe get some advice and recommendations.
Month 1 of SAC, Month 3 at WA
I am in my 3rd month as a premium WA member and in month 1 of the SAC. I was very honored to be accepted into the challenge since I'm relatively new (I didn't even know what affiliate marketing was 3 months ago!)
This is the part that will be interesting to see how it compares in my update next month! In my first 3 months:
Website:
- I've started my blog (aimed at promoting WA)
- 17 published posts (6 still in draft - need to just finish those already)
- All published posts are indexed by Google
- 6 review posts
- 142 approved post comments (70 are my replies)
- Went through 3 themes and finally settled on one I really like - GeneratePress
- 18 active plugins… I love Plug-ins! So far my site speed is great, but think I should weed some of these out.
Training:
- I’ve completed most of the Bootcamp training except for some parts I’m not ready for - PPC, Youtube, etc.
- I’ve watched all of 2019 and most of 2018 recorded live events (highly recommend btw).
Social:
- Social - have a Facebook business page, Twitter profile, Instagram, YouTube channel and Pinterest. I’m most active in Pinterest and pin every day on my boards and group boards.
- I’ve made one YouTube video so I could embed it in a post. Definitely need to work on that skill before I do more lol!
Email:
- Testing out ConvertKit for email marketing. I have 3 subscribers :) Not amazing, but I just started.
- Happy with my landing page, but will be moving to a free service as I don’t want to pay for subscribers this early in the game.
And Finally - Revenue:
- I’ve had 7 referrals to WA, 1 completed their profile = $1.00
- I had another company give an incentive for writing their review = $25.00
- I’ve received click revenue from another company for clicks on my links = $0.03
- I had Adsense loaded on my site for awhile but I didn’t like it = $2.89
- GRAND TOTAL = $28.92 :)
Advertising: The only reason I had an ad running for awhile was because I had a $100 credit from Bing. I used up the $100 fairly quickly with one ad with focused keywords. This is the time last month when I earned the Adsense money and 6 of my WA referrals, so it makes my data a bit skewed.
Month 1 SAC Challenge
So those are my overall results. I can’t wait to see the improvements over the next month! So far for the SAC challenge:
- I had already had my site established, so I’ve completed many of the initial tasks.
- I’ve written 2 of 12 blog posts, need to finish those drafts off and I'd be going strong :)
- Found 50 low competition keywords
- I’m focusing on being on WA chat daily and reaching out to help others as I can.
So Far So Good! I'd love to hear how others are doing or if I can help you out in any way! Thanks for reading!

Looks like you have made great progress and have put in a lot of hard work. I’m not as far along as you are - With working full time; adding a new site to promote WA; and trying not to neglect my first site - I’m been busy!
Trying to follow this months SAC tasks.
Over all I’m happy with where I’m at.
Wishing you success!
Congrats on the progress! Way to go. I'm in the challenge as well, started with a new site. I've completed everything but the 12 posts, I'm at 3/12 on that.
Cheers
Absolutely beautiful! You also reminded me I need to check in on Bing. Think i'm good but can't afford to go over LOL. Really we didn't have a choice doing the Bing thing this early has it is a limited time offer and free advertising is free advertising! WTG
