Niche Site vs. Affiliate Bootcamp - Clash of the Titans
A question I often see popping up in WA is whether to start a niche site or follow Affiliate Bootcamp to promote WA. Sure, you could go either route but here’s the thing – they don’t necessarily have to be mutually exclusive!
To see what I mean, first make sure you read Kyle’s training about targeting different demographic markets to promote WA:
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/target-audiences-for-wealthy-affiliate
Now, let’s take one demographic group as an example…university students.
This is a great market to promote WA since most students need all the financial help they can get. But your site doesn’t have to end there.
There’s a whole bunch of other stuff you could promote besides WA on your student-related site. For instance, think about all the supplies your readers would be interested in like backpacks, mini-fridges, microwaves, desk lamps, clothes and a whole host of other things.
How about a site targeted toward Baby Boomers? In addition to promoting WA, you could promote high-ticket services like cruises, live concerts, sports equipment, and many other things for that age group.
The point is, just because you build a site promoting WA doesn’t mean you can’t branch out and promote other products and services too. Just don’t go overboard and try to sell a zillion products on every blog post. For instance, if you’re writing a post to promote WA, aim to direct your readers to your WA review page – that should be your only goal. Similarly, if you’re writing a post about Baby Boomer cruises, just focus on that.
I hope this helps those who've been on the fence until now.

This is great information. You can promote so much more than just WA and even when promoting WA do it in a unique, interesting way to a targeted group of people.
Thank you stephan for this very enlightening post.It has made me see the light in a different more beneficial way. Thanks for sharing. All the best!
I've shied away from promoting WA because I was afraid it was getting over-saturated ( I hope not!) but making it part WA and part *something else* is a great idea!

David, I think what's getting a bit saturated is the whole scam site setup to promote WA. But if you look at Kyle's training again, there are lots of other ways to promote WA. Oh, and Nathaniell's got a really nice post about this which I recommend checking out: Do You Have To Be A Scam Review Site?
I just read Nathaniel's post and between what you both said I now have some ideas rolling around my head!
I agree. Most of the scam sites are sites that promote making money online. Because of all the thousands of people in WA that came before me with the exact same training I stayed away from the boot camp. Not only that but I had a bad experience with the feds regarding that. so at this point all of my sides are commercial sites. The bookstore and Emporium are opening this month. I have converted two of my sites to WordPress to give my webmasters some practice at doing this.
