AI - Where Will it Lead Us
Into A Black Hole of Eternal Darkness?
There are three main categories of Artificial Intelligence. Narrow AI is designed to do one thing. Researchers use AI to fold proteins or to tell you the weather. The next step up is General AI which can solve a wide array of problems from math to art. The final form of AI is Super AI. This type of AI reaches far beyond what we as humans know and can achieve. It is a vast array of knowledge that no one human can or will ever know.
Currently what we have available in AI ranges between the Narrow scope and the General range. Narrow AI is known for its capability of beating humans in particular areas. From games to even having access to a wide range of medical topics.
They are not without flaws. In many ways, the AI that we use today is capable of making many mistakes. The information where they get their answers is all written words by humans. If we do research on a topic, we are likely to report things that are not 100% accurate. We did not take the time to double or triple-check our sources of information.
Human Vs. AI
AI is not human, they work on facts that they are able to derive from a vast database of knowledge. I use AI sometimes when a piece of code I wrote is not functioning. The AI is capable of correcting errors in my code, as well as improving my code. The AI is not hands-on and is not capable of identifying underlying issues.
A perfect example of this is when I was working on my website and trying to get a CSS function to work. My code was correct. I told the AI that the code was not working and it tried to make changes. The changes to the code did not work. The AI did not have the ability to debug additional code that it was not familiar with. Because I could only tell the AI that the code was not working, the AI could not see why. It only has the ability to listen to your instructions and give you an answer. It could not see that the code was overwritten by code in the system it could not see.
Another example is having it write the code for me. It is able to write the code but does not have a way to test the code to ensure that it is working. The AI has limits based on what we are able to articulate the problem as being. The response has limits to how it perceives the problem.
Will AI Improve?
To be honest, I know it will improve. We have already seen an incredible advancement in the technology behind AI. There is still a few flaws behind AI. One of the fundamental flaws is that the manufacturing of AI does not include reasoning. Everything is based upon facts, and not always with scientific evidence. The second is that we as humans need to ask fundamental questions. The AI is not always understanding and interrupting our inputs.

AI: Open a can, pour the can into a pot, turn the heat to medium-high, and wait for it to boil. Stir as the ingredients heat up. Is there anything other information I may provide?
I’ve used AI to help me write articles. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. I am not spending 4 to 8 hours doing research. Then writing, proofread, and making adjustments to the article. The bad thing is that for every article that AI writes, I have to proofread and remove repeated items in the text. Needless to say, the time in doing those small tasks are minuscule in the grand scheme of things. It is still a huge time saver to rely on AI for the research and building a boilerplate for the article.
The reason behind this Article
I read a post by FrankB-1. He was speaking about Bard, the new AI put out by Google. There are many AIs available, and most cost money. Bard and Open.AI are the only two that are free that I am aware of. But, I have not put Bard to the full test yet. I know that the free version of ChatGPT has limits to the number of characters that it can use and or read. I found another AI called Copy.ai that has limits unless you pay for service. They do have a 24-hour use for $15.00 with unlimited use of characters and you have full functionality of the AI. This was a surprising find for me and took full access for a day.
Then I started wondering what other AIs are available to use so I did a little research. I have not had the time to invest in any of the AIs I will list. I wanted to make them available for you to see if anyone has feedback on them.

This one I found intriguing. It has an automated service to write the post, with images, and post to your WordPress site. You receive 15 articles per month with licensed images and SEO meta for each article. Might be something I will invest in when at some point.

5. https://www.writecream.com/ There are a lot of features available with Writecream. This includes audio voice-over for videos. They have a free plan that even includes 4 short articles, 4 podcasts, and 4 voice-overs per month. Definitely, one I will check out soon.
Closing
As I mentioned early in this post, I have not tried any of these AIs that are available. As of now, I have only used Bard, Copy.ai, and Open.ai. I’ve used a couple of image AIs but was not pleased with them although in time I’m sure they will improve. I am wondering if anyone here in the fantastic WA family wants to take a test drive of one of these AIs. I would love to hear any information that you have to report about them.

I am learning more and more about the capabilities of using AI as an aid for content creation and although I was sceptical to begin with... I am loving it now!

With the use of AI I do certain things. An example would be when I place new music (tablature) on my site. I open an AI and tell it the band and the song and ask it to give me a brief overview. I then ask it for keywords and a two-sentence overview.
I do this because I don't find it necessary to do a quick research on the items and write something that nobody is going to read. Most of the keywords are useless, but I can delete the ones I don't need. The two sentences are for sharing on social sites.
Basically, with the use of AI I turned a 30-minute task into 3 minutes. AI is extremely useful for content creation in many different ways.
I do not like any of those AI writers. I tried all of them. My writing is way better than what AI puts out. Most of them repeat content. I do admit that English is my second language. I use American Sign Language because I am Deaf. I come from 4th generation of deafness genes passed down in my family. I use Grammarly, which is an AI writer. That is the only one I use. I also learned how to use the Hemingway app to shorten my sentences. I write a lot of run-on sentences and missing articles. I do not encourage anyone to use AI writers. A lot of those content spells out misinformation. I can't stop people from using it. I prefer to write in my own words, my personality style. AI writers can't write your personality style. I found myself constantly spending hours editing content. It's not worth it. I write it out then Grammarly takes over.
I too use Grammarly and Hemingway app. They are fantastic tools. I love to write my own topics as well, but there are times when the use of AI really saves time.
How often do you spend 6 to 8 hours researching, writing, proofreading, shortening, etc? I spend an incredible amount of time writing lessons on my site. This takes time that I can not use to create content. An AI can not include the notation, images, and steps in a lesson. I must do all of that myself.
I give AI an overview of the type of information I would like to write about and ask it for ideas. Then I have it write a boilerplate for me. The article will still have my words scattered throughout as well as any imagery I decide to use.
Yes, it is a crutch, but I can not say that if you are on your own and need content that the crutch is a bad idea. With the overall amount of time you save, I think it definitely has a place in the life of a creator.
It just remains to be seen what is in store for AI. I suspect at some point that none of it will be free, but we shall see. A good write-up, Larry!

I am also interested to see where this will lead. For the most part, we are in the infancy of AI being offered to the masses. These are the steps leading up to iRobot! LOL
I have only used the free versions of AI up until now. I am amazed at the variety of programs you have shown. I have also used a drawing AI which is really cool. Thanks for the info.

I myself was amazed at the number of sites I was able to find offering very similar services. The AI thing is pretty new. As far as I am aware the AI online started toward the end of last year.

I'm a loud AI supporter of all kinds, and I promote the attitude that ideas should come from the brilliant human mind but use the tools you can have to do the heavy lifting, just like I have introduced in my project, which I have a series being posted here with updates.
