Google plus does not bring traffic to your website

I have a large Google plus following. Over 500, but it does not bring any traffic to my website. I watch analytics for a couple of days after I have posted and the real time traffic comes mostly from after I've posted on Instagram.

Can anyone explain this?

My theory is that I need to manage my followers and target the right followers. Public followers don't seem to convert to website traffic?

I believe it can bring some traffic if followers will be accessing your post. But if they just review what is in G+, it does not build your traffic. I have the same issue.

I'm early in this so I need more time for good data to analyze. Don't give up on it. Try something different on your approach.

Google Plus has never been a great place for traffic

Hmm Google + is quite new for me so interested to hear what other say here.

I don’t think that’s the case for all bloggers linked to Google +.

Perhaps you could reconsider your approach on that platform to improve your traffic outcome? E.g.: are you engaged with the right Google + communities? Are you formatting your posts in a way that better captures the attention of, and engages the users of that particular platform? Have you explored, and are you using, the best choice of hashtags to reach an actively interested audience in your niche?

Good luck!

I've had similar results.

Having it posted on Google plus helps because you get a backlink. Not a strong one, but one from a Google property which is always good.

In this day and age, I like Reddit, Pinterest , YouTube and LinkedIn. All those are pretty powerful traffic sources.

I am not sure I can give you an answer except what you suggested. But I don't really get anything from Google plus so I am interested in seeing others responses.

Hi Jodie. Have you posted your content on Google plus?
Also, I have a question: How do you post content on your site on Instagram?

Thank you,

Nickoy

Every post goes onto google plus each week.
I have been doing this for 18mths and have no problems getting followers
Instagram works more on a story telling theme. If it's aesthetically pleasing and you can gain a loyal following, this will lead to people clicking on your website link, or in my case, my linktr.ee which then gives me the option of adding to multiple links.

Ok. How would I make my posts available on Instagram?
