Hi Kyle:
I am thinking of creating another niche.
I owned a website about 10 years ago but was unable to handle WP and it didn't work out either with the service
Using material from a previous website of your own?

If you are want to sell your old site to someone else, I would not use the content on that site for a new site.
You could use that content as inspiration for new, better updated articles on a new site. 10 year old information is ten years old.
Here at WA, you will be learning about SEO and getting traffic to your site organically. Not having to pay to get it. So, the new articles could be much better.
I would also look at the eBook and see if there are things that you could update to improve it. Then maybe you could market it with your new site.
Best wishes!

Fetch as Google now forcibly directs you to Google Search Console. However Google Search Console only has 2 of my Posts unlike Fetch as Google that had all of my posts.
Yes just go to the URL Inspection and add you post there but instead of just the post name like the old Fetch as Google now you put in the full URL like you would with Bing Webmaster Tools.
Also it will tell you if that post is indexed with Google already then just request indexing
Andre
In the new Search Console you can go to URL Inspection in the menu on the left. Once you put in your URL, it will tell you if it was found and indexed. If not, then you can request indexing from there.
I've found that it works the same as Fetch as Google!

I googled my website and saw my site as done by me at the top of the page. I opened it and it was as I expected to see it.
However 3 places down was my own named website
Thanks for responding Merlyn.
This is my genuine site.

This is the dubious one

Hey Grace,
Having noticed that one of your images clearly has Getty Images on it. I recommend that you pay for that image or remove (an pray they are not aware of this usage) it so their lawyers won't slap you with a major lawsuit.
parents-with-baby.jpg
Your second link that you labeled as dubious appears to be a post you never completed.
Never use images that you have not paid to use.
Thanks Triblu although I only used what I thought were free images.
Can you tell me the one that you observed?
Hi Triblu:
I have looked through my media library and have seen it, but have gone through all the posts for the website and haven't seen it.
Can you tell me the post in which you saw it? Would appreciate it.
I'm getting a page not found when I follow the dubious link now...Did you reach out to them and get it all situated?
Your categories, images and what not are probably being indexed. I 'd have to see the URL to know for sure though.
Hi Merlyn:
Someone pointed out that the dubious link must have been a post that I had been working on and that it also had a Getty Image. I deleted the image from my library so at least the image has been removed from the site
If anyone clinks on that link now they'll get "Oops that page cannot be found" Now I need to determine how to get rid of it from Google.
Regards
Thanks Merlyn. I wondered if that might have had something to do with it. Will do.
Have a nice weekend.
Grace

Good luck with what ever you decide Grace. There probably is no one right or wrong answer.
