Wincher can also track your competition

I have mentioned the site Wincher.com in several posts here. I really like it and use the free version so I can see the ranking of my posts. The free version shows updated rankings once per week on Mondays. You can add more post names, keywords or tag terms anytime and each Monday they will be added and the old ones updated. Each time I do a new post I add one or two phrases (usually the exact wording of my post title and then the wording of one of my tags).

Each week you can see how each individual post is ranking and it shows an overall total of how much your posts are rising or falling and which ones are doing best/worst.

Another feature of Wincher is the ability to see how your competitors are doing. You can put in the name of another website and see how it ranks for the same titles/phrases or keywords you are using. Here is how it looks:

On the left is my website Thrivingcat.com and on the right is my competitor Thrivingpet.com. All the posts (with my titles and keyword phrases) rank lower than 100 on my competitor's site! Of course they could have very high ranking posts using totally different titles but at least I don't have any direct competition from them!

This is something you can see for free on Wincher.

Note: It looks like they only let you have a free 14 day trial now! Mine has been free for a year! They must have changed it but let the existing account holders stay on fro free. Sorry!

Well, If it's as good as you mentioned, Jessica, I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for sharing!

I used it for the free trial and liked it. Didn't sign up to.pay though.

Another cool tool! Thanks, Jessica!

Ok, see added note above. It looks like they only let you do a 14 day free trial now. Mine has been free for a year. I guess I got in before it changed.

This is incredible, Jessica! I'm sure I read about this before from one of your posts, but I seemed to have forgotten.

So, do each of the different colored boxes for your site represent different keywords? And why does thelivingpet.com just have the same color? Are all of their posts ranking the same?

All of the keyword phrases I put in are represented by a color. So for all of those I put in, they rank lower than 100 which is all shown as red. However, say they only posted about fish or something totally different than me. They might have high ranking posts, just not sharing the same keywords as my posts.

What I am concerned about is competition though, so I don't care if they are ranking high for something else. So, for my purposes, they are no competition. That may be due to different keywords, different topics or really poor ranking on similar keywords but in any case I don't have to worry about them!

I had not posted about the competition aspect of Wincher before, just the rank tracking of my own posts. I love it!

Very interesting, I'll have to save this. I appreciate the graphics, too!

seems to be free only for 14 days and then you will have to buy ???!!!

No, I have had it for a year. I don't know if they changed something. I really don't know if they changed though to only offer 14 days. Maybe I got to stay free since I signed up earlier.

When I go to my account it says I can upgrade to the Pro version. If I go to Wincher from an Incognito search (so it doesn't know it is me) it only looks like you can have the 14 day free trial. Sorry!

Lucky you! I might check the 14 days out just to know where I stand ;) and unsubscribe after

Happy weekend to you :)

Thank you for the info. I'll try this.

sound cool. I will try it now. Thank you :D

Thanks for this new metric Jessica!

I never heard of this site! I'm going to start using it!! Thanks for sharing! :)

It looks like they changed so now you can only get 14 days for free...sorry! Someone else pointed that out. Mine is still free after a year. I think I am grandfathered in or something.

Okay! :)
