Property update, moved but not closed.

We got moved out of our house and moved into the 4-plex. It was a marathon to say the least. We only got 3 or 4 hours sleep each night and barely stopped to even eat! We had many loads to the dump and to give away and more to storage and more out the 25 miles to the new place. The cleaning was a nightmare with the mildew and mold and many things had to be thrown away.

We have an early occupancy agreement a the property since we just got the appraisal report yesterday! The whole process is behind due to the late appraisal. Now our early occupancy agreement will run out before we can close and numerous other bumps in the process. We are making it though. Sore feet, sore back, cracked, scraped hands. Totally worn out.

The unit we are in is on the third floor so that makes moving extra strenuous as well. We have outdoor stuff to get from the house still as it melts out of the snow (lawn mower, greenhouse frame, pots...) but everything is moved from the inside.

How is this for rudeness, our landlords started tearing things apart in the house as we were trying to move stuff out and clean! They were literally in there using power tools and making a mess. They brought their son's mother in law along and wanted to show her the house also as we are in the dirties phase of moving out. She is on her phone Facetiming others showing them the house with all our mess everywhere. I don't know how to avoid a mess on the last few day of moving. All the little odds and ends are left as you try to fit them into a logical box and you can't clean yet until the stuff is out. It just seemed to be the most awkward timing. They never call to say they are coming over either, they just show up.

We are glad to be moving on with a new phase of our lives, though I feel like I am living in a hotel room now since the 2 bedroom apartment feels so small and everything is boxed up. We don't want to move much up the three floors until we sign the papers and actually own it so it doesn't feel homey at all.

I hope everyone is doing well out there all over the world. I miss you guys!!!

A step at a time. Moving is a lot of work, but heh you did it!!!

the worst is behind you now

Jessica, it is now just a matter of time! I know you have been through a lot in a short period of time but it is almost over! You will soon be in your own house and can finally relax!

Take care,

Keith

It will work out ... Your previous landlords are a nightmare ... they shouldn't be allowed to do that, yes after you have moved, fair enough but everyone know while moving there is a mess until you get everything sorted out and it takes a lot of organisation to make sure all is packed in such a way that you can find what you need easily ...

You are nearly there and at least you won't have to deal with that landlord again ... good luck, health & happiness in your new home ;)

Just try reminding yourself that this will pass Jessica. Hope that will help you get through this!
Erica

Hope that all goes well Jessica.

Thanks Alexander.

All the best, Jessica in maintaining your sanity during the process.

Thank Veronica!

Hi Jessica,
Moving can be a messy process, been there, done that!! At least you can say it's just about over!! Then you can breathe a sigh of relief. Once you get a few things out of boxes and in order, it will start feeling like home. Your old landlord is a piece of work, very rude behavior, enough said about that. I'm happy for you, things will get better from here. Get as much rest as you can, I know that's a stretch, simply because you have so much to do. We miss you too!! Take care my friend.
Mary

Thanks Mary! I am trying not to be depressed about the small space but on the bright side, there was a chickadee right outside the kitchen window this morning as I was getting ready for work! There is a tree right there and the pussy willows are out. The chickadee was eating from it just a few feet away from me. That made me smile. I love wild birds. It is also nice to be in the treetops.

Keep going as the days will be getting better every day. There is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Yes, thanks. We are glad to be moved.

If you were around the corner I would give you both a hand.

That is very nice of you!

Best wishes with your closing Jessica!

Thanks...we need it the way things have been going!
