Is Your Traffic Down? Google has problems January 11, 2021
I noticed starting early this morning that my website traffic seemed low. I didn't think too much about it until I looked again this afternoon and saw it is still really low or nonexistant at times.
I did some digging and found out Google is having outages in service lately. Here is a graph showing reported Google outages or problems in the last 24 hours. It is much higher than normal I guess (I have never really looked into this before today).
I went to Google Analytics and went to see where my traffic was coming from today. Sure enough there is only one hit from Google! Normally I have more traffic from Google than any other source. If I didn't know about the Google problems I would be panicked thinking my site had been penalized but knowing about the bigger outages I am so relieved! That means there is probably nothing wrong with my site. It should just be Google's own glitches today.
Are any of you noticing low traffic to your sites today? Do you have any more info about Google outages?

Thanks Jeff. I have been looking all the time since I am excited to have new affiliates and wondering how all my work on my site will affect things. I have been working on my site every day for several weeks now.
I didn't check analytics, but I DO know that Chrome (Google) absolutely refused to work for me today, but edge (Microsoft) did. Idk if it's coincidence, I found it a bit strange...
Thanks for the update. I don't think it is a coincidence. I think it is part of whatever is going on with Google today.
