Update 2020: I'm FINALLY doing what I've been saying I was doing to do. Although this has been a bit of an... um... 'interesting?' year, I can say that 2020 was good to me, during the last month or so.
For those of you that are just joining WA, welcome. 😀 Ask questions, keep interacting, and just follow along with the training. It really IS that simple, for some reason I've never taken it seriously enough to make things happen.
Now that I am actually checking those little checkboxes (they really do seem to help), and doing daily (or almost daily) blogs, asking questions and reading everyone's blogs, things are definitely getting better.
I'm a stay at home mom and I've been working with CB and affiliate marketing for (a few) years, but have just completed 2 college courses to make my sites better. I learned a lot, and I was in WA before, so I decided to come back here, and get things going again.
I have a VERY nasty habit of starting to make daily (or almost daily) sales, and then stop working , it's stupid, I know, don't exactly know why anyone would do that. But it's what I do every time. Now I'm taking things a day at a time.
Hopefully I'll make some new friends along the way!
Update 2018: after a few years of 'working' and freelance writing, my sites have been dormant / redirected. I am going to start fresh, as was advised, and in all actuality, things have changed very much.
I will post here to hold myself accountable for what I have done (or not done). Hopefully I can get back to making money again quickly.
2019 update: once again, i have lost my motivation. I went to retail job, busted my butt and hurt my family because i was never here, especially on the holidays. Wound up with still no money in the bank, and was in even MORE debt because of transportation, uniforms, and food. Not to mention i would see things that i liked and when payday came, the money was gone. and it got so bad that i tried to OD on sleeping pills. The one and only reason i am posting this is because i do know that IM isn't the easiest thing in the world and so many people just give up.
I will admit to being a hypocrite here, because I didn't do what I'm about to say. You CAN make a living online. I know this because I have made decent money online. Through various methods. The only catch is that you HAVE to be consistent. I was never good at that. When I started making money, I stopped working. Just imagine if I kept at it.
For those of you who are reading this and think you are at the bottom of your rope, so to speak, don't give up. Just keep going. One day at a time. At first it seems very complicated and it is so easy to get overwhelmed. I think WA is the only place, in the 10+ years that I've been so- called trying to work online, that I've reached any Aha moments.
There is definitely money to be made online. Don't try to get rich, just focus on your first dollar. Focus on helping people. I am a firm believer in 'what comes around goes around'. I've watched many markets come and go. I've seen people take advantage of people like me who were struggling to make sense of it all. I have fallen into the 'golden object' syndrome, which is buying everything under the sun that seems like it would work. I learned that most, not all, but most, of those 'marketers' were all about siphoning money from you and moving on. Their product was usually crap, giving very little value at all. I do know from experience that wealthy affilliate is where you get the most help, and the resources are outstanding.
When you get lost, just ask for help. If you don't ask, you won't get anywhere. You can't get anywhere without asking for help in just about any aspect of life.
I have been in many forums, and have learned many things, but have never put them into action. In the past few years, I was a freelance writer. I was making good money, then I hit burnout. So now I'm back to IM. I have a computer that is 10 years old and slower than dirt, but it works. In 3 months from now, I aim to have made enough money online to buy myself a new one. That is one thing that has changed for me. I have a real goal. One that is reachable, considering I have domains that are old. I just don't have websites running. Don't ask why, i can't give an answer for that except laziness. Or the fact that i just gave up for whatever reason, probably the lack of faith in myself.
If you are new here, congratulations! You can really succeed with the help from the community and the resources and training here. You are NOT going to make money overnight, you could get lucky and get your first sale in a month. Just keep at it. Never give up. If I am good at one thing, it is helping others get through difficult times. I will gladly help you in any way possible, even if just to vent or if you think you're getting nowhere fast. I have to relearn how things work here, and i am sure some things have changed a bit.
Sorry for the extremely long post, but for some reason I had to say what I did. Im thinking that maybe, just maybe, one person will read this and it will help.
Now... onto the journey again...

Haze's Goals 5

As I am just getting back into this, and I haven't had a 'job' in a few years, I know how things work, and what is involved, and I have a few websites out there makng money when I don't do anything with them. I would be happy earning $200 a week, at the minimum. I would be eastatic earning $600 a week. That might sound extremely low for some people, but $2400 a month would pay all of my bills, including mortgage, AND more. To me, these would be easily attainable, as long as I keep at it. And keeping my house up and family happy as well, so the time I would be investing would vary from day to day, and I would put in between 1-3 hours a day.

Those are wonderful goals Haze and I can tell you firsthand that these are more than achievable. When I started out I had very similar goals and with some hard work and dedication, I exceeded any goals that I could have ever initially set.
You will get there if you invest some hard work and dedication to this, I don't have any doubt. :)
