Hi everyone! I have been away for a very long time (I think I checked in last year and said that too!). I miss all my friends here.

For those that don't know me I was an Ambassador here at WA for almost 2 years and I certainly miss all that WA has to offer! I live in the beautiful, state of Alaska and this is a photo of fireweed at sunset I took last week.

Life gets busy and we don't all stay active here but I think about you guys often and wonder how you are doing.

Please say Hi and let me know!

I have been busy as usual and have spent much of this year dealing with a kitty with cancer. He has been such a sweetheart and has recovered well from the first surgery.

I still dream of website ideas all the time and hope things settle down a bit so I can be more active here once again.

Miss you guys! Please tell me how you are doing!

Jessica

Good morning, Jessica! It's wonderful to hear from you.

Interesting, I was thinking of you not long ago. Ohhh, that's good news about your cat.

At the moment, I've been working on updating old posts. I can't believe how bad my writing was ...lol. My last post was in 2018 on my dive site and I received 2 email notifications of commissions.

I hope to see you here more often...when you get a chance.

God's Gracious Blessings to you every day 🙏.

Monica

Hi Monica! It is very good to see you here! I am glad you saw my post! I do hope to be around more.

I hope you are doing well.

Jessica

Hi Jessica,

I'm doing great! Thank you.

I look forward to seeing you back more often.

Have a beautiful day and weekend.
Monica

Good morning Jessica,

It's good to hear from you, I am glad all is well. It's amazing how many Wealthy Affiliate members come and go. We all have different chapters in our life.

I hope that you can move forward with your websites again soon. I believe that many of us are sitting on a potential goldmine, we just need to take action.

All is well this end, thank you, I continue trying to move my websites forward and work on my off-line business simultaneously.

Have a great day and I hope to see you around a bit more.

Roy

Thank you Roy. I agree!

Hi Jessica, it is great to see you pop in every once in a while... LOL!! It's something I do as well, but I don't usually write a post and it is past time to do so. ☺️

Sorry to hear that your kitty is fighting cancer and it is great that he has recovered from the first surgery. How many more does he have to endure.

It is also great to see that you are still here and your family is all well. I look forward to hearing more news and take care.

I wish you well!
Bob

Hi Bob, thank you so much for saying Hi! Last time I popped in a year ago I didn't connect with many people I knew here.

My orange, tabby boy has only one more surgery planned which is in a week. We are very nervous as his kidney will be removed which seems like a big deal. Hopefully he will recover well as he did after the last surgery in May. I have never heard of a pet getting a surgery like that but luckily we are able to make it happen (good thing we didn't buy a house this year like we wanted too!!!) and pet surgery is considerably cheaper than human, though still significant.

All the X-rays, ultrasounds, blood tests and surgeries do add up.

Anyway, thanks for asking!

He is very dear to us.

I hope you are doing well too!

Jessica

It's great to see you again, Jessica! How is your vitamin site going? I remember you'd had a few issues but wondering if it's ok now? And didn't you also have a cat site? Anyway, it's lovely to see you and glad your sweet kitty has recovered from his last surgery.
Take care
Cheers
Melissa

Thanks Melissa! My nutrient site is still dormant. My cat site and business site are still up but I have not been working on them for quite some time. Between family and pet health issues, work and property etc. I just couldn't keep up.

Thanks for saying Hi! It is nice to see you again! I hope you are well.

I hear you, Jessica! My sites have been dormant going on 18 months. They are still there and doing their thing but I haven't had time to focus on them. I've been busy with other things in my life but still check in here regularly and have been doing some of the training here which is helping me in our family business.
Have a fabulous week!
Cheers
Melissa

I know how that feels Melissa! I had to really focus on my regular job for awhile since juggling it and family and health issues as well as property management was just all I could handle!

I am glad you are still here too!

Good to hear from you, Jessica, and glad you are doing well. Yes, I miss you! Would love to see more of you.

The fireweed is spectacular this year, isn't it?

Hope your kitty does okay. Not an easy situation. It's sad and stressful for all concerned when the cat is ill.

Fortunately, Mocha is doing well...found out he's a little younger than we thought...he's just over three years old. He had a major trauma yesterday, as it was claw-cutting day. Those polydactyl toes have claws as well, and he has one that grows between two other toes. This time it had not grown much.

He got through his ordeal better than last time, but when the vet left about noon, Mocha went to sleep and slept all day! Good way to get rid of his stress.

Make a list of those website ideas -- you may need them later.

Glad you are well; hope your husband is, too. Is Covid very bad in your area? It's recently really spiked here. so being extra-cautious.

Take care...

Hi Fran,

I have been so glad you have Mocha now! He must make you very happy.

I am lucky most of mine are great about claw trims. I just put them upside down on my lap and we are done in a minute. My polydactile calico is the fussiest about it. Her paws are white so it is very hard to see the claws.

We successfully made it through the surgery to remove the carcinoma from his throat (thyroid) and now need the surgery to remove the sarcoma by removing his kidney. In the middle he got deathly ill with a UTI last week and we almost lost him! He never had one before. We had to syringe feed him food and water for a week. He is bouncing back however and just finished antibiotics.

My husband and I are doing ok but keep taking Covid tests thinking we got it again. It is on the upswing here too.

The emergency vet hospital (very small and the only 24 hour emergency vet in the state) keeps telling us how many people they have out with Covid. They had 8 people out a few weeks ago. Then I talked to one staff member and by the end of the day she was out with it too and the vet left a message at 9:30 PM saying he was the only one there since they were all out! Then the emergency vet just told us he was so sick he passed and on his floor at home and woke up to his dog licking his face and kids asking if he was ok!

Scary.

Glad you can stay tucked away at home!

Jessica

Your poor kitties! You and they have had a struggle. I hope it all comes out okay.

Yes, Covid is on the rise, and I don't like it. All the vaccines do is make it not so extreme. At least, if I catch it, the vaccines may save my life, even though I'm sick...comforting thought, I guess.

Mocha is really sweet, and am finally getting him to stop the biting. That has been an ongoing struggle, but he is much better. He is such fun to watch, as he loves to play. Have you tried the little springs for your cats? Mocha chases them all over the house, and carries them around when they get stuck in a place where he can't send them flying.

Hope to see you more regularly.

My kitties like a variety of toys depending on which cat it is. Some like fresh catnip, some like dried...

We just took two to the emergency vet a few nights ago since it is impossible to get an appointment anywhere else now. $800 to find out they were ok!

All my cats were biters more when they were younger (when we first adopted them at 1.5-3 years old). They all seem to grow out of it. I think it's a cat stage.

I've never had a cat that was a biter before. He's really, really improved. For the first month, when we woke in the morning, I didn't dare touch him, because he'd grab me and bite. He managed to sink a tooth well into my arm at one point and I had trouble getting him to let go.

I am pretty sure he simply wasn't properly socialized when he was younger, and must have been with someone who encouraged that behavior. He's learning.

I don't think mine were quite that bad. They didn't usually hurt me. My tenant's cat that we cat sit is generally fine but occasionally he chomps down on me. She says he is bipolar!
