Hi Again!
Hello again everyone! Some of you said keep sending pics from Alaska so here is another one of the fireweed from up on the mountain looking down on Cook Inlet. This is just a 10 minute drive from my house! If it wasn't cloudy you could see a volcano in the distance.
The problem with being back here at WA is that I want to check in every 15 minutes! It is so nice when you have been gone so long.
I posted some photos like these to a Facebook group of Alaskan scenery. I got so many likes that it occurred to me I should update my website that is linked from Facebook in case anyone clicked though. I went and made a minor update to one of the posts and moved it up to the top in case I had any interest.
Small first step, but it's good to be back making some progress.
Thanks for everyone saying Hi on my last post. Please keep it up. I love reconnecting with everyone here from years ago.
Jessica

Hi Jim! It has been a very dry summer. We had a drought and it was the driest summer in decades, then it started raining and now we are having the wettest July in 42 years!
It was hot now it's cold...the weather is all over the place.
Nice to meet you!
It was a hot summer for us too (though not that hot) until last week. We had a drought since it hadn't rained since April which is pretty wild.
This last week it started raining though and has rained every day since! Good thing since we had millions of acres burned in forest fires already.
Thanks for saying Hi and welcome to WA!
We are having similar issues here. It's technically our dry season, however the weather has been continuously wet and cold.

Jessica,
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos of Alaska. I hear it is beautiful place to live. My stepson, Johnson, is going to living there for about 6 months on a contracted assignment.
I plan to visit Alaska myself.
