I Was Blown Away!
Today I got an e-mail from PayPal saying "You've Got Money." Huh? I sell on eBay so getting e-mails from PayPal saying I've received money is not a new experience for me, but currently I have no auctions or Buy It Now listings up on eBay.
Turns out that it was commissions from a website I haven't worked on in months! I got $100.70 from sales generated thru links on my site. Wow! I was just stunned. (And it wasn't Amazon, either.)
I have to be honest and tell you that I was ready to throw in the towel and give up on my websites and WA as well. My Premium Membership renewal is coming up in less than two months and I was intending to not renew and just give the whole thing up.
But now I have new inspiration and feel like I could make a go of this after all. If I put in more effort and thought into my sites I can see a path to actually making money at this.
Anyway, just thought I'd share this good news with you all. I actually love reading everyone else's posts when they have successes, so thought you might feel the same.
Affilate Marketing does work! Don't get discouraged (like me) and try to give it a fair chance.
Now I'm going to go create more content for my sites this week. Yippee!

You have a site in the background that didn't make you a million.
You bought into a system that was going to teach your how to LEARN how to make money online.
But you thought it was a system that shows you HOW to make money online.
Didn't work right away and you thought well, more money wasted.
The HOW is such a 'false positive.'
The LEARN is a reality in the making.

That is terrific news. It sometimes happens when you least expect, wonderful things happen.
I am glad you are staying with WA. It sometimes seems it is a "waste of time" to keep on with a certain project, but we are glad you didn't quit, success was right around the corner for you.
Remember "You only fail when you quit".

Thanks, Susan, that is encouraging since I have made only 2.54 and my premium membership renewal is coming due soon. I haven't been able to put as much time into my website as I would like. Anyway, I plan on renewing and continue building up my site.

I know exactly what you mean, David. I made $6.03 on Amazon and never made another cent after that. It wasn't even enough for them to pay it out to me (I think the minimum payout was $10.)
But these commissions came from an affiliate I had totally forgotten about! Guess people really are looking at the site, and that's a good thing.

Congratulations Susan, this is always great when we have money paid into your account unexpectedly! This is the great thing about having a web business,,, we can be sleeping, and it still makes money!
