Sometimes We Are Forced To Take Time Off!
You know you love your work when you have to be forced to take time off, haha.
I came home from visiting my granddaughter in Texas, to two very sick grandsons. They live upstairs, so of course I'm going to help, right?
I thought I got off lucky, but alas... they shared their germs with Nana.
And I'm feeling too sick to tackle anything that requires concentration, so I'm just keeping up with my daily tasks to keep my business moving forward.
Such things as:
- Answering emails
- Engaging in the communities I'm involved with
- Small things that require attention, etc...
But... sometimes you just have to rest and do nothing! If that's the case, don't feel guilty. My personal mentor always reminds me "the internet isn't going anywhere"!
You won't do your business any good if you don't take care of your health!
Ok, going back to bed now...

Thanks for asking.... you're very sweet. It was a rough road but I think I finally had my first day or slight improvement!!
Get your rest,t get well drink plenty of water, while in bed envision yourself, healing and breathing deep fresh air, and enjoying the gift of body healing..Yes, the internet will be here, it also has some good programs on natural sounds that help heal while resting.
Excuse, "the mama X3 in me" I never leave a person without intentions of a tip toward helping them feel better.

Thanks Akua and thanks for the tips. I'm a "mama" too so I know all about your intentions!
Blessings,
Suzanne
I completely agree. I was very sick with a cold last week, and allowed myself to take it easy. It was so bad I could hardly read for several days. When I was younger I would push through, which is commendable to us but not those above us we had to account for every minute of the day on the clock.
This business is the opposite because we control our time. If we do not make it flexible enough be with family or attend to other priorities that give us great balance, then WHY?
Good post.

I hope you feel better soon, and I get it, some things are just more important such as family and your health. My adult daughter was diagnosed with a rare and debilitating disease a month ago and I have inherited an 8-year-old little boy (my grandson) who is almost full-time with me now. It has been an adjustment, to say the least, and I have had to slack off with my writing a little because I also have a 9-hour-a-day full-time job. I have been beating myself up and letting the guilt eat me alive for only being capable of publishing 1 article a week instead of 2 or 3 like I was doing, but I am no longer doing that. Life happens and we are only human. You are correct the internet is NOT going anywhere. Take care of yourself and your family.
thanks so much Kari, and I'm so so sorry to hear about your daughter.
Yes, life does get in the way, but your daughter must be so thankful to have you in her life, and your willingness to care for your grandson.
Blessings on you,
Suzanne
